I'm an athlete, not a musician so I can't relate to musical heroes like I can sports people, so I was just wondering when are the moments you're happiest, when you really love what you do, when you get that satisfaction that lets you know you wouldn't rather be doing anything else with these years???

I was just thinking about this today, I'm curious to know what you all particularly the SLR artists feel about this question.

None of it's really satisfying until I eat. But it feels good when someone looks you in the eye and gives you their honest opinion of your album and they're diggin it. When they tell you which tracks they like, and tell you that you have their support. And can't forget about the groupies who think you're some kind of superstar. lol

I haven't had much fame from this local rap scene, but for the shit I've been doing and pushing these cd's in the streets, it's always good to have someone tell you they're feelin your shit or quote u on some of your songs. it's also cool to have people that've either been a part or are in the industry tell you your shit's hot. might not be too much, but hey.. Spice-1 was feelin' my shit.. that's an accomplishment to me.

Hmmm.

I would have to say that I love it when people tell me "Thanks for reppin' the 206 like you do." It's like I'm an ambassador or somethin'. Havin' somebody tell you that you're reppin' an entire area like no other is priceless.

People need to be proud of where they come from and stop tryin' to be like everybody else from other cities. We CAN have our own identity ya know? Stop being followers and be leaders!

...when you hear someone else playing your music somewhere... like pulling up to a light and some dood in a car is bumping your shit... or going to a party and the music playing is yours... that's HEAT.
That must be an awesome feeling I'm glad that happened to you.
