Question about San Francisco?

why dont u just go check out downtown san mateo(3rd ave)second biggest city on the west side of the bay!!!, it aint frisco but its cool , its like 5-10 minutes tops on the freeway, or check out burlingame ave in burlingame, its like the beverly hills of frisco, or go to the tanfran mall in san bruno, its like 5 minutes top, or goto to that frisco street show in downtown south san francisco on grand ave(5 minutes). But if u wanna drive to downtown san fran its only 10-15 mintues top on the freeway, traffic hour is 4pm to 7pm. anytime after that its hella fast to get to frisco, i been from frisco to san mateo in less then 10 minutes no traffic!

Be sure to hit up La Tapatia next to Frisco Street Show as well, also an important detail, what time are u expected to land in SFO? that could be the biggest detail we are missing out on. Tanforan is a pretty gay, average mall, downtown San Mateo aint that great....and burlingame ave is pretty lame as well, Ur best off hitting Grand Ave in SSF, seeing Frisco Street Show, gettin some La Tapatia to eat, and just kick it there b4 u head back to tha airport
wow guys, thanks so much for all the help. im really excited about this trip. san fran has always been top 5 for my dream vacation cities....even if i dont get enough time to leave the airport we will definitely be planning a trip there for at least a week. and to whoever said i would get lost in the city, if i decided to go somewhere, i would probly take a taxi from the airport...are they expensive by the way? about how much would it cost to go to grand ave?
downtown san mateo is not much of an attraction. burlingame ave is a waste of time. and what part of frisco do you really think you can get to in 10 minutes from san mateo? That's not possible. I can get to Daly City in 10-15 if Im speeding and theres no traffic. But the city in 10 minutes? Yeah right.
a cab shouldn't be too bad if you're staying close to the airport....it'll cost a grip to go downtown tho.....there will be plenty of cabs downtown to get you back, but there probably won't be any around the airport, you might have to tell the cab driver to meet you back there.....it would be possible to go downtown, although you'd dedicate almost 1 1/2 hours to the bart ride (to & from)
I am hearing some bad advice in this post.
You will be roughly 15 miles or so out of SF. DO NOT TAKE A CAB unless you got a 100 dollar bill to spend. BART is usually highly dependable, but their are delays and shutdowns once in a while which could really screw you. You could hop a BART train and hit downtown in about 35 minutes, plus 35 to get back, and then through security...
Frisco Street Show is not a dream destination. Its a small ghetto shop in a small office building. The Mexican food out there on Grand is on point though.
Your best bet is to stay put.
Let me know if you vacation here. I know all the spots in the sco to see and the local bars if you get tired of doing the tourist thing, and would be more than happy to shoot you some advice and a connect for some kills.
