Whats up everyone? Now I've been listen to music for quite sometime now, but recently I just got turn on to some mixtapes and they were hott, anyway I decide to buy some off ebay but when I got it was straight CD-R. I know siccshop has good amount but I was wondering where else I could find some. Are all mixtapes good? and Are they worth buying? Let me know what yall think and all that. Thankz.

depends on the mixtape, i dunno if they all good, but they good ones are worth money, papoose has like a million of um, ive heard 4 - 5 they are all heated

depends what you want. Also some mixtapes are just compilations. The question that always get's asked is what is a mixtape? In my opinion a true mixtape is a mixed tape (or cd's now) that is hosted by someone (could be a dj or a artists) but mixed together by a dj. Go to the Jusfamily board here on the siccness and get the DJ Chill presents Cool Nuts "Voice of Northeast Portland" mixtape for some Northwest Heat. Also check out mixtape.com. Other dj's I like are DJ B Mello, DJ Scene, DJ AP, DJ Supasam, DJ Funkdaddy, DJ Topspin.

mixtape shit was coo at first but now everybody is making them and everybody uses the same lame ass mainstream beats which you hear all day on the radio and TV so it got boring with time

Check out Tony Touch and his "Power Cypha"-mixtapes. There are three of them, and they got exclusive freestyles from start to finish. 50 mc`s (at least) appear on each, none of the rappers are featured twice. You can find a package-deal here:http://www.mixunit.com/powercyphaset.html .
It was originally released in the 90`s, so it might be a good introduction to a lot of rappers. I got these on tape when they came out, but I`m considering to buy them on CD.

( Damn, this sounds like an advertisement, haha)
