I enjoyed it. While not better than batman imo, it was a good action flick that was pretty funny if you ask me. Don't go expecting the acting to be on point or the storyline to be hella crazy, but go if you wanna see some violence in the traditional punisher manner, and laugh at the amount of violence and gore put in to this. This movie is a throwback to the 80's movies like predator and robocop.
It's pretty much a direct translation from the Marvel Max series, the movie even carries the Marvel Knights tag on it, which is one of the reasons why I liked it, they didn't try to make it appeal to families, it is not a PG13 Hulk movie, it's Frank shooting people in the head and snapping necks, so I dug the film...
Okay I watched it.
I enjoyed it. I mean I think it could have been a little better. For instance the wife of the killed cop should have totally had a pointless full nude shower scene. I have to ask, for those of you who didn't like it, why not? I mean what were you expecting? The purpose of the punisher is to kill people and I thought the movie carried that aspect very well. It's not suppost to be some spider-man movie where there hero is the pussy and there is a relationship and all this other bullshit. It's just suppost to be a movie about killing people. I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10.

I'm not a big "comic book made into movie" fan and never really read the Punisher comics (I know the back story though) so I guess I look at it more from the perspective of how good the actual movie itself is where a fan of the comic might just think it's cool because it's a comic they read as a kid brought to life.
The acting sucked, like really sucked. It was really choppy, whoever edited it should go back to film school. Just the whole flow of the movie was poorly done in my opinion.
Some of the action was cool but there are really good movies out there that I'd rather watch if I just want some action or to watch people get killed.
