People BEEN rhyming since FOREVER mane! Blacks, Whites, Brown, Yellow or Purple! Maybe "BLACKS" did start the word "HIP HOP" but so what! They say RHYMING(on music that is) can be dated as far back as the early 1920's with blacks AND some whites! But is that really true or what we're told?
We only know what we're told or what we've seen and that's not to say they didn't start Hip Hop but Puerto Rican cats also BEEN there since the beginning of it as well as R&B dawg, i.e., Frankie Lymon and The Teenagers, (the writer and creator of the group HERMAN SANTIAGO) The Cadillac’s, The CoupDe Ville, The Premiers and on and on and on!! We can go back and forth forever brothas and this will never be resolved! It's the same shit with "Rock N Roll" some say White and some say Black! I do agree that Whites got their styles and sounds from listening to Black artists during that time and that they were the first to get on radio with it but WHO CREATED THE NAME "Rock N Roll"? A WHITE DUDE, "Disc Jockey Alan Freed" although he did give the credit to Blacks for coming with the original sound that later he gave a name too, people STILL bitch about who created that freakin' name! We all want credit for something but can't give it where it's do cause we so damn selfish! Blacks want credit for this, Whites want credit for that! Puerto Ricans want credit for so and so but can't give it back in return!
History has Jamaicans as the cats who came with it first, blacks who came with it first and every other god damn color as the biters to every style of music but Country and Metal! Fuck, they even say black folks want credit for "RIVER DANCIN'"!!! real talk!! I read that a while back! Puerto Ricans fight with Cubans and Dominicans about who the hell came up with Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Red Rice, Black beans, Break dancing and Graffiti!! COME ON NOW!! Mu' fuckas will never agree!

It's been like that since the beginning of time and honestly, I love all styles of music and can give a shit who say's they created it!
