Yeah you can rip music and pictures on it. But Nope you cant listen to it though while you play the games, unless they have some games in teh future with that feature but for now nope.
If you still own a ps2 then just fuck with the 40g. Bc you can just play your ps2 and 1 game son teh ps2. But once you get a ps3 you'll say fuck my old games
yeah imma get it tomorrow morning, imma trade in my all my PS2 shit, i talked to the dude and i should only be spending 400 for the PS3 (40G), 2 controllers, and GTA4
coo.but dont forget the hd cables that go in the back of the tv..they run for $20 or more cuz if you playing on the regular yellow, white, and red tv cables its gonna be looking very shitty..
its was quite simple for me, the 40 gb runs the best and actually looks the best. i give a shit about the memory 40 is more then enough for me and i still have a ps2 i gives 2 shits about that backwards capability shit.

i tried to upload pics and it wont let me and i tried to rip my music but it wasnt lettin me either how do i get to use the internet on it i have it thru my cable so shouldnt the wi-fi pick up the signal from my laptop
you can't pick signal up from your laptop, only the other way around. you should go cop a wireless router. does your laptop have built in wifi? wireless routers aren't too expensive, usually $50 or less for a coo one, and they always go on sale at circuit city & best buy
you might be able to set up your laptops wireless to transfer files to the ps3.... but i'm pretty sure the ps3 wont be able to connect to both wireless and wired... but that shouldnt matter if u just tryin to put slaps on ur ps3
you can try setting up an "adhoc" network on your laptop then try connecting on the ps3 to it. your laptop will send out its own network signal to try and connect with another laptop for file transfering
