IM FINALLY GETTING A PS3 IN A WEEK OR 2, I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHATS THE BEST AND MOST ADEQUET ONE OUT OF ALL THEM, AND WHY

if you plan on being online alot you shout go for the best and get a 80g and never have any worries about it...or if you dont really give a fuck like me and just wanna play the shit get a 40g save some money to.what sucks though you gotta buy the 2nd controller which is $50..and hopefully you have a hdtv cuz if you dont you'll be wasting your money cuz a ps3 on a regular tv looks like a ps2..

no that dont affect it at all. all it is is hard drive space....room for downloading shit onto your ps3. so if your not gonna download game demos or anything like that the hard drive space aint important...

nope, thats going to be available in the near future tho.
just get the 40gig one and ull have no problems.

i'm posting this from my ps3 right no. its 40 gb...

40 gb is more than enough. if not you can always remove the hard drive and put your own in via a flap on the side

u can copy music to the ps3 and some games let u slap while u play... my music plays during the menus on mlb the show 08.

40 doesnt have ps2

60 they dont make anymore but has full ps2 cuz it has a chip and software to play

80 has software to play ps2 and 95% of games work

they dont sell 60 gigs anymore, so if you get one of those its most likely gonna be a used one, if u want a new one, get an 80. i have a 60 and havent had any problems with it what so ever, the bigger the hard drive the more shit you can store on it, like i got hella pictures, videos, and music on mine, i use it like what it was ment for, an actual entertainment center.

Can u hook ur Zune to it? Cuz it does have USB Ports on it.

not sure about a zune but it is microsoft so probably not... i can stream music and movies from my laptop to the ps3... but i just used a flashdrive to put music on my shit. plug it into usb and copy it over

I'd get the 80 gig if you want to play PS2 and PS1 games. You can upgrade the harddrive as well. Or get the 20 gig or 60 gig that has BC on a chip.

other than the memory and the backwards compatibility, are there any features that are on the 80gb and not on the 40gb and vice versa? (ports, etc)
