"Project Blowed what's the code/I been rockin' mics since I was 12 years old" - Aceyalone

The Project Blowed: Since 1994 The Project Blowed has been putting it down for Hip Hop. Open Mics, B-Boys, B-Girls, Good Hip Hop. Back in the late 80's there was The Goodlife Café in Leimert Park, which was an Open mic spot. No cussing was allowed and you were allowed to do one song. If you were wack, much like with the Apollo, you'd get booed. An enormous amount of people came up in the ranks there, such as Aceyalone, Kurupt, The Visionaries, Of Mexican Descent, Busdriver, Abstract Rude, Pigeon John, Dilated Peoples, among many others.

The Goodlife Cafe is something legendary in the History of L.A. Hip Hop. A few years later, it continued as the Project Blowed. Leimert Park and 43rd is the spot. Every Thursday night you can find it popping off. It's still a staple in the name of Los Angeles Hip Hop. Not only is it a weekly Open Mic, but it's also a crew. An amazing crew, at that. The members include Aceyalone & Freestyle Fellowship, Abstract Rude, 2Mex, Busdriver, C.V.E., Living Legends, Trendseta, Medusa, Hip Hop Clan, Volume 10 and many many more. Their extended family crazy, too. Dilated Peoples, Hieroglyphics, Pharcyde and Jurassic 5. to name a few, are all down with the Blowed.

So...If you're not familiar with this crew, you're about to be. Wednesday, December 29th, probably the last real dope show of 2004 and quite possibly the illest of the year is about to go down. In Celebration of the 10th Anniversary for the Project Blowed, damn near all of Los Angeles Hip Hop's best a brightest will be out to show their love. As you can see in the flyer, I posted to the left, the line up is already lookin' packed full of dope acts. The Q-Events Center in Hollywood has had some ill shows, but this might top them all. Expect lots of suprises and expect DubCNN in full effect reppin' and showin' our respect to one of the most important legacies in Hip Hop, period. Shouts to Badru, Non-Stop and the whole crew for showing DubCNN love and allowing us to be apart of this!

Be there and show the Blowed the love the deserve!

Wednesday December 29, 2004, pre-sale $15. Regular price $20. 6021 Hollywood Blvd.
