PROFESSIONAL ARTISTS "Re create" a logo

I had a logo designed a few years ago...which I have trademarked and gone as far as getting it tatooed and used on all my projects.

The designer gave me 2 versions, but only in a .bmp format. No photoshop files, no layers, not even bigger than 4x4 inches.

Till now Ive gotten away with cutting out the background and using that, but I want to print bigger things such as t-shirts etc.

Can anyone help me in sort of "re-creating" my logo so that I have the files I need?

the logo in your avatar? if i could see the biggest one you got im sure i could re-find the fonts used and it'd be no problem.

they take rast images (jpeg & bitmap) and they turn it into vectors (for silk screening & flash)

Do you got Illustrator? You could trace it and re color it and when you do that you can resize it(pretty sure it's making it a vector).
