but lets give it a shot, do you guys know a good place (besides ebay and craigslist) where i can get a 3 chip camera, minidv, budget is around 1,500 but prefferably if possible id like to find one for under 1,000 used. I found a gl1 for 700 but im not sure if GL1's are any good, or as good as the GL2, sony VX, or panasonic's 3 chip cameras.

gls are garbage, get a vx and the pannys are HORRIBLE besides the dvx but u aint gettin one of those for 15

if you dont know what camera is good really you shouldnt be dishing out 3,000 on camera there not point and shoot, you gotta know alot to make it look good, start off with a cheap camera and learn angles and settings

i hear this all the time.. but it would be a waste to learn on something crappier.. besides im not completely clueless how to work a 3 chip camera, i have some knowledge about white balancing and shit.. besides a friend of mine started off with a gl2 not knowing anything at all.. and now he makes some top notch videos, told me i should do the same thing.
