There's torrent up that allows Pro Tools to run with any non-Digidesign/Avid interface...

It basically acts as a hardware emulator...

Oh yeah - this 'emulator' also unlocks the sofware's limitation on voices... meaning a project's track count can now go as high as the CPU can handle...

i probably would have got protools in the first place if i wasn't limited in my interface choices. Protools is the easiest DAW to run IMO, I have Logic very powerful but its quirky as hell. Since all i do is make beats the roadblocks i encounter using logic keeps me away from it and use reason and maschine standalone

yeah cuz that interface is a peice of shit especially if your using those preamps on the channels

Word... well my house burnt down anyway, and it and the rest of my equipment along with it last winter... So on to better shit... what would you recommend in the way of hardware? I don't want to use PT... I'm used to using Audition 3 as a DAW...

I only track vocals and instruments so I run straight from my Avalon pre into the stereo inputs and XLR's on my Digi 003

I use a basic as Roland Edrol interface... but use a presonus comp and pre amp to beef up the sound...

I track everything in Acid Pro 7.0.... but sequence all my equipment on a rs7000 hardware box

i have logic and its a huge chore to do just about anything in there, too many fucking dialog boxes and shit interrupting the creative process

ppl need to learn that pro tools, cubase, logic, audition, acid, ableton ect are all the same shit.... its just a interface for your sound card.... all shit is recorded 44000k and up... all can use vst plug ins

at the end of the day when you render your wav or mp3 whats the diff??? stick to the program your strongest at, no need giving your self a new huge learning curve.
