he did fight a bum like a year or two later after he got his ass beat then retired, so yeah. I mean Trinidad eventually fought after the bernard Hopkins beating but we all know hopkins basically sent him into retirement.

That fight was the shit to watch, everyone at my pad was going crazy, getting loud and shit with every one of Barrera's landed punches. That was also back when Cortez was a decent ref.

I can't really agree with that. That's what happened when he stepped in the ring with a GREAT fighter. If you look at some of the fighters he fought and don't consider them real fighters I think we have very different definitions of what a real fighter is.

One thing about Hamed that's real is that he's one of the best punchers I've ever had the pleasure of watching in the ring. He could hit someone with an off balance, odd angled punch and put them on the deck. Hamed had very real one punch knock you dead power.
