sumthin dont sounds right, u make it seem like its that easy to get a major deal (judging from that headline)
its not easy at all, you gotta have some hot music. if your shit is hot, ruff ryders or sony will be fuckin with you. if you get on stage with some weak shit, you gonna be wastin your money. yall dont understand, ruff ryders got a brand new distribution deal with sony, so they have MILLIONS to burn. so no ITS NOT EASY.... cause everyone in the bay aint hot. but if you ARE HOT, all you gotta do is rip a hot show and the people you need to talk to will be right there!

im done trying to convince people about this event. people are already buying slots, who are SERIOUS about their craft.....

this is the independent Bay. Somebody is always trying to get paid off the next man under the guise of giving him an opportunity.

not true..... it cost to fly record execs out here, put them in hotels, pay for their food and transportation. go online and see the prices for a first class flight from ny, four star hotel, and rental for a saturday and sunday in the bay area. if anything we will break even.

this is why people dont do shit like this in the bay, everyone has this attitude like someone is getting over. this is my 4th showcase this year. we have gotten 7 artists signed to majors through these showcases......so if you aint fuckin with it, oh well. but dont badmouth people trying to make it happen for others in the bay....... go be skrooge mcduck somewhere else..lol

i wasnt hatin at all, it just seemed a bit farfetched to me,good luck with everything
nothing far fetched at all. they actually been at us for nearly six months to put this thing together. they trying to get in on this bay movement, but they dont trust it. they know something is happening and they dont want to miss out. but they see alot of bds spins, but no sales. they see articles proclaimng this guy or that guy to be the hottest in the streets. but the people they know out here say they have never heard of that artist. they want to tap into the market beyond the hype.

I respect your hustle but come on dude we've lived through JT The Bigga Figga enough for one lifetime. JT made a million off it no it's time for the next dudes to give it a try. If someone is really that hot record company executives will fly them out to where they are and put a deal on the table. I can dig how you've gotten artists signed but it ain't like Ruff Ryders artists are burning up the charts there buddy. Get Jay Z or LA Reid out here and I guarantee you'll get more buzz than this.

how would a record company know who is really hot? most of dudes on the radio and the magazines bought their way on. do you rap? manage? just appreciate the music? trying to see where you coming from and what you got cracking. if you feel like you can contribute come on down, if you feel you can put something better together for the artists, then please do so. everyone wins. if you just knocking it because that is what random dudes on the net do then please continue. just clarify your position

first off, if you knew about the industry, jay-z and la reid dont look for talent...... people bring cds, demo's etc. to them for final approval. you think jigga or la reid is gonna sit and listen to "yadadadamen, i go 18 dummy, retarded, scraper, what it do" all afternoon..... hell no! i dont know who you are, or what you do, but im willing to FRONT YOU THE BREAD TO PERFORM!!!! how bout that, MONEY TALKS.... if you know so much and you are SO HOT, come on down and perform. this one is on D-CASH homie.......lets see you impress now?????

I'm just like you Doodlebug I'm not a performer, I'm a veteran in this here business and I was around when game was put down in the beginning. It's not a money issue for me, I'm a lyricist. I have written songs for some people in the business, rap and R&B included. In my spare time I do battle raps now and then. That;s where my recognition comes from. Ask about me, w c r y d a z .com, r a p m u s i c .com and elsewhere.

As I said I respect your hustle and if people are buying into it then congrats. But you do know that Jay Z did fly out to meet Lady Sovereign in Britain based on her buzz ? Dre signed Eminem based on a radio appearance, he didn't send Dre a demo, then they signed 50 Cent without him sending a demo. They came to him. If you're hot, the labels will come knocking that's the true shit. Ask JT how many labels he has turned down.
