PPl with Comcast, I need sum help

I just got COMCAST hooked up in my house and the TV shit is all good but the guy that came and installed the MODEM said that my wireless ROUTER aint going to work with the MODEM. Anyone have ah wireless NETWORK going useing ah COMCAST MODEM? If so what kinda ROUTER do you have? Right now im useing ah "NETGEAR" and shit aint working. Someone help I need my NETWORK back up. :hurt:

I know any fucking ROUTER should work with any MODEM thats wut I allways thought. I go into stores to ask for ah wireless ROUTER that in compatible with ah COMCAST MODEM and thay tell me my shit should work, any ROUTER should work. I dont wanna get another ROUTER and have the same problem. Im plugging the shit in right.

Yea, dude is fulla shit. I got comcast and im using a linksys. I had a problem connectin my router for a while til i realized its cuz i had a firewall called outpost up. Make sure u dont have any firewalls up rav. Fold

Yeah I'm using a Netgear router with my Comcast & it works just fine.

Actually I dont think dude is full of shit. I had to get a new router with my comcast connection. The old linksys router I had wasn't compatable so I got a newer linksys and it works fine.

Copped a wireless router a few weeks ago @frys for 19, it was a bitch hookin up cause im lame when it comes to installation but it seems to work just fine now....

nah call netgear it should work.

they can walk you through setting it up.

i have a belkin and it works fine with the regular comcast modem, and the modem they use when u have phone service with them too.

all you have to do is get into the router settings and make sure its set up to receive a dynamic IP, since comcast doesnt give out static ip's.

I've used the same linksys router for 3 years...when I moved back to the Bay, got Comcast and there was never an issue

^There was with mine...dont know what the prob was but it wasn't workin. They told me I needed a new one so I got wireless and it works.
