While the specs are impresive, you will have to wait for all the major compines to rewrite the source code's of there programs to take advantage of the G5's new features. Everything is running at 32 bit right now, but since AMD has the athlon64 coming out later this year and Intel will have a 64 bit chip, you will see that direction being taken. I know a little bit about comp's but there's alot I dont know, so how will this effect programs and there performance I dont know, but I'm real curious.

That shit is Hard! I imagine It would be really good for Video Editing. I can't even begin to imagine 64-bit floating point processing. but I'm gonna be good with my G4 Dual 1.42 GHZ Processor with 1 Gig of ram for quite a while. I'll bet in the next 10 years apple's gonna have a G8 comin' out. LOL! by then I might be able to afford it
