My grandma had lung cancer, and when they pulled the plug she kept fighting...what was supposed to be 5 minutes turned into 20...she was a beast 'til the end...but those last 20 minutes were the hardest.
Just remember to keep telling your pops that you'll take care of the fam now....he'll be more at peace.
