but when yo have Harrison,Edge,Dallas,Stokely and Wayne...Hassleback could look good out there...
You're basically just naming all the players who are
1. Eligible to catch the ball on the team, and
2. are having good seasons (which is everyone capable of catching the ball). The only players out of that bunch that you can be sure will play well on another, subpar team is Harrison, Edge, and probably Wayne. Brandon Stokley? Not to knock this guys tallent or anything, but prior to this year his season high for reception yards is 357 with Baltimore. Low and behold, after 4 years with the Ravens, and in his second with the Colts, he almost cracks 1,000 yards with a pair of games left in the season. I mean, How many wide-outs did Kurt Warner shine with the Rams? Even Az-Zahir Hakim looked good out there. I know I have spoke on Manning before, about how he switches the plays and controls the game, but I have been hearing things lately about him calling
all of the plays. I wouldn't doubt it.
Tom Brady, New England
It's hard to tell how important a player is to the team until they are gone. Over the past few seasons I don't remember Brady ever missing a start. I do however remember him taking over for Bledsoe and doing wonders with the team - just as I remember Brady getting hurt come playoff time and Bledsoe coming through. I think Brady is an awesome quaterback, but I don't know that Bledsoe wouldn't have won the superbowl if he stayed with the team (see 1997).
Ray Lewis, Baltimore Ravens
I think this is the easiest to call. The Ravens would probably have the same record they do now without Lewis. And this is coming from someone who believes Ray Lewis is the best linebacker in the league. They are just too good defensivley all around.
Terrell Owens, Philadelphia Eagles
We'll see.
Michael Vick, Atlanta Falcons
I really can't make a case to discredit Vick, and I might play favorites with Manning, but the Falcons have a much better defense than the Colts. I say, put Manning on the Falcons and he triples Vick's touchdown total.
For me it really comes down to Vick and Manning, and I think Manning is just too good. Notice how each year the Colts are getting better as a whole, specifically the offense, while the defense remains mediocre.
