15,000 is not likely for anybody these days unless you're a major artist, the last artist in the Bay to do more than 15K the first week was E-40, and he probably will be a for a long time. Indies just don't do the big first week sales, shit most majors don't anymore either, you got major artists coming out selling 25-40K first week these days so you can't expect an indie artist to do 15, its just a shitty time.

Best of luck to the Jack though, this is his time
Interesting......Tech N9ne and Atmosphere did pretty good first week numbers and they're not signed......And last time I checked The Bay is a way bigger market than K.C. and Minnesota.....That's really unfortunate if the number are gonna' be so low.....You really don't have to promote your album that much to sell a couple thousand in the first week IMO......Kinda' sad but I guess it is what it is......

those are special cases, Tech N9ne and Atmosphere are the 2 biggest Independent artists in the country, and they have incredibly large and loyal fanbases who support them on ALL releases and go to their shows. they pretty much get major label treatment while still being independent

What do you think seperates those indie artist and the indie artist in the bay? and why arent the bay area indie artist taking a page from there book? Imo Tear Gas is a solid album very versatile even radio friendly. I hope Jackas team really does a major push. Glamorous Lifestyles video should help also either way good luck jacka and congrats on what IMO is atleast the west coast album of the year so far.................
