You're getting the idea. My only disagreement is that I would say this is God's perfect plan to bring all souls back to Him but on their own accord, not that God is judging to see who loves Him. Since we know that God is knowledgable even of the future, there is no question of God experimenting to find out who loves Him. We all love God. This mode of love for God is simply covered at the moment; it is dormant. Religion/spirituality is aimed at awakening it. This is what I believe, anyway.
doesnt experimenting constitute a lack of knowledge?and if he is all knowing him experimenting make no sense

i dont see it as an experiment i see it more of a choice...if he is perfect then he didnt want us to love him by default...so he gave us all free will and devised a perfect plan to sort us out between those who loved him and those that dont...because if he truly loved us then he would give us the right to choose...just like you wouldnt want someone to love you out of fear he didnt want to be love out of fear or default

"Since we know that God is knowledgable even of the future, there is no question of God experimenting to find out who loves Him."

That is, if we assume that the inherent capacity to perform evil is itself imperfect. But how exactly does that follow? The fact that we can poorly use our free will exemplifies the fact that it is free. How is this an imperfection? Some may say that it is imperfect because the result is suffering, but then why is suffering imperfect? If you keep thinking in this line of reasoning, you will come to realize that a perfect God's creation, including His system of reward and punishment, must be perfect.
So your definition of perfection doesn't require what is perfect to be good - I thought that would be a prerequisite. Then again, a man with a twisted mind may think that Charles Manson exemplefies perfection and that God is the antithesis of perfection. That leads me back to the uncomfortable conclusion that the definition of perfect is indeed subjective.

Damn, God must be one bored deity! Not once can he truthfully say 'I didn't see that one coming!'

Someone may do lots of things. The difference though is that defining perfection in accordance with a Supreme Being is actually the only objective way perfection can be understood.

An eternal and infallible God isn't so much concerned with creation. Though He is concerned with the spiritual souls who are eternally related to Him. If it weren't for these souls, there would be no creation. Aside from creation, God is eternally enjoying in His internal pleasure potency. We are considered part of that internal energy, though due to our minute size and capacity for free will, we are prone to fall into creation. At least, this is how I understand these things.
