What is Power? Money, fame, fortune?

The ability to DO or ACT. Capability of doing or accomplishing something. (from the dictionary)
While I agree with Heresy that politicians and the Rich look down upon us as “fools”, I still believe that things CAN change. Will they? That’s for us to decide. It takes just a thought-one thought-for you to want to change something. Like the day some of you thought about quitting smoking, or quit drinking so much, or get up and get a job. Or thinking about going to college and take all the trials that come along with that, wanting the benefits in the end. We benefit ourselves when we take control of ourselves! Think about that for a second. We benefit ourselves when we take control of ourselves! (read the definition of power again)
I'm not on here to change anyones opinions about anything. I come to GOM to stay informed about politics, economics, and make sure you fools are still alive. I find it comical that members come here to preach day after day. I ask first…have you really changed yourself? Tell us about your life experiences and let us decided whether you are just enough for me to listen too. If you cant tell your story then you are really not saying anything.
Heresy Says “What have you done to change anything? NOTHING!” Your right I haven’t done anything to change the way America is just yet. Im too busy trying to change myself first. What have you done to change yourself!? Anything? See a couple years back I took a Anger management class to help me control my anger. Worked miracles for me. But unless I was willing and open minded enough to accept what was being taught and most of all wanted to CHANGE, I prolly wouldn’t be sitting here right now telling you this. Like I said people it starts with a thought. So lets quit thinking about who we can change and how we are going to change them….and lets start changing ourselves for the better. Someone will notice!! My son was the first person to see that I wasn’t as mad sa much anymore around the house. He told my mother that I seem more happy and he loves it. Just imagine, If a 7 year old boy can say that…imagine what grown people will say when you start to take control of your own life and try to be better. If you wait for God (like my mother did to change my father) then you might be waiting for 25 years, or until someone is physically unable to hurt you anymore. Catch my drift? People can change. And we have the ability. I proud to know that my son has a less chance to be the person I was cause he doesn’t see me mad at the world anymore. I saw my father mad at the world everyday for 18years so I naturally started to act like him.
And once you change yourself you will become free. If all of us started doing the better things in life, sooner or later everyone will have no choice but to notice it and maybe follow suit.
See I made a commitment to myself to be a better Father and Husband, which in essince(sp?) led me to being a better individual. So I suggest you all make commitments to yourself. My change are my thoughts that lead to my success.
