i really have no idea..i havent really looked at the bulbs like that since i got my strobes..ill check when im at the studio tho for you.
Oh aiight. Im asking because Im thinking of going to lowe's, home depot or somewhere like that and putting together some lighting stands for way cheaper than I would at a photography shop.

i mean..u can try but its not something i would do.

the only thing i can really see myself making a DIY of is a ringflash cuz i wouldnt use it all the time..but if its something id use all the time, id buy it right.

Well, thats only until I get the hang of it all. Then I'll move up to the REAL deal. Since I've started shooting which hasnt been that long ago, I've only shot outside in sunlight. I want to experiment with lights on the inside now.

True it is very monstrous LOL its like tha size of a large softbox
But i think it lights tha model very well

But yeah I bought a ringflash cuz I didnt feel like doin all that shit especially portability wise LOL

^^^I actually wuldnt recommend anyone start practicing with lamps as a substitute to getting "real" lights...you would be better finding a cheap strobe kit to practice with rather than some halogen lamps....lamps for a beginner can actually be a lot more difficult to use, and are a LOT different from using strobes....If you actually spent time learning first on some cheap strobes you will learn the limitations and know how to more effectively spend your money in the future, something you wouldnt learn by using lamps or lights from home depot that arent meant for photography. just my 2 cents
