PDA on some real shit, I had a question about the joints.......

see how on your joints like on let's say picture #1, there is alot of light on the face portion, then shadow on the left side of his face?

in photography is that a desired effect that your going for?

see how lady tragik's joints have light all over, and are well lit?

wouldn't that be the desired effect? for it to be completely lit?

or is this method you have something your going for on purpose?

the pics look great, i'm just trying to understand better what the approach would be on this in particular.

it really depends on what u are going for..i like more shadow and highlights in my photos because i think it works well for the type of studio portraits i do..but i can light them more if i wanted to. it just depends on what your preference is IMO. theres no real "standard" for lighting. if you like the more lit up like tragiks, thats what you like. everyone has their own preference..it all just depends on how you set up your lighting.

my next shoot ill do some more lit up shots and post em.
