Don't get me wrong man, I don't condone any kind of remarks that have to do with race...I tell cats that use any of those words that they're ignorant, even if it's just a little bit. BUT, like I said, it's all good if he points out the difference...I believe there are "CRACKERS" out there, in fact I know that, but at least make the distinction, feel me? You can't just run around saying FUCK CRACKERS and what not, at least let it be known that you know there are 2 sides to every race, just like there's 2 sides to every story!!

@J-HOLLA.....That was probably UNLEASHED..i got this from allmusic.com.....talking about unleashed

One of the most underrated artists in hip-hop, throughout his career Paris has struggled to find an audience for his righteously angry brand of overtly political hip-hop. But where earlier albums attempted to mask the stridently non-commercial nature of Paris' lyrical content with accessible, commercial-minded productions, 1998's Unleashed finds Paris damn near giving up on trying to reach his audience politically, instead hopping on the West Coast gangsta rap bandwagon with dispiriting gusto. Paris' gruff baritone remains as powerful and commanding as ever, but it's depressing to hear someone whose work once resonated with conviction and idealism spit gangsta rap clichés like some sort of lost Suge Knight flunky. Where Paris' lyrics once took dead aim at the racist white power structure, Unleashed finds Paris and his unpromising protégés venting their nihilistic anger at anyone and everyone, from women to wack rappers to dishonest record labels. Bitterness and disillusionment seep into nearly every track, as Paris takes oral revenge on a world that never really accepted him or his music. Sonically, Unleashed is steeped in the sinister, low-riding West Coast G-funk pioneered by Dr. Dre, full of accessible, professional, but not particularly distinctive grooves and laid-back samples. If Unleashed was the work of an up-and-coming West Coast rapper, it would be a lot easier to forgive the bleak nihilism of its lyrics or the familiarity of its production. Coming from an artist of Paris' stature, however, it's a tremendous disappointment, and easily his worst album to date. Given the consistent air of desperation and hopelessness that pervades Unleashed, it's not surprising that Paris retired from the rap game shortly after its release, giving up the hip-hop lifestyle to become, of all things, a wealthy and successful stockbroker

sydal i feel u its juss that black rappers are about 10 times more popular than any other and so wat they say goes by unleashed and nobody gives a shit but if "paris" for example uses the word cracka it becomes a problem and he's racist and shit..that's bullshit. so anybody who uses those type of words si ignorant and racist. well if thats the case you should probably never buy anohter rap album again. black rappers can kill each other, degrade our women and make our race like savage and ignorant but when we wanna fight back and shit, its all bad.

for the kat lookin for paris contact its [email protected] and his website is guerillafunk.com tell him rap4rights gave you the info

About this statement...."black rappers can kill each other, degrade our women and make our race like savage and ignorant but when we wanna fight back and shit, its all bad."....I just wanna know what that has to do with using racial slurs?!?

Go after the cats that DO shit like this, attack them verbally, target them with your words!! "Crackers" have nothing to do with that...and it isn't the government's fault, they do NOT like what rap music portrays, look at the people attacking the artform!! So who are y'all attacking? Degrading women, shit, I'll call any woman a bitch all day if that's what she is...there are bitches, and there are women...bitches are the ones that get talked about, women are the ones that get loved!! Know the difference playa!!

cipherminds said:
wat does that mean?
It means no matter who's saying it, I don't condone the use of racial slurs...to or from any race!! That's what I meant...but like I said, I'll give his album a spin or two, and see what he's really talkin about!! Shit gets thrown out of context way to easily on these here boards, so I'ma have to listen to it for myself to see what's REALLY being said, feel me?

the government - don't give a fuck about drugs
-sydal

well i would seem to disagree with you there...check the CIA and an organization called Cointelpro

there are two sides to everything, including the government

"I just wanna know what that has to do with using racial slurs?!?"

Its hard for me to understand how you can be offended by a black man using the term cracka and not a black man, or any other man using the term nigga. you seem so concerned and politically correct, so i figured along with disliking "ignorant" people you would also feel disrespected and offened by artist who disrespect women by calling them bitches hos sluts hookers cum catchers and wat not without making the distinction you wanted paris to make in using the word cracka.

"Degrading women, shit, I'll call any woman a bitch all day if that's what she is...there are bitches, and there are women...bitches are the ones that get talked about, women are the ones that get loved!! Know the difference playa!!"

So in this case, paris callin a "cracka" ( where he is actually refering to the record industry) a cracka is fine. cuzz like u said THERE ARE BITCHES OUT THERE JUST LIKE THEIR ARE CRACKAS. AND SO IF ARTIST DONT NEED TO MAKE THE DISTINCTION ABOUT WHICH GIRL IS A BITCH AND WHICH IS A WOMAN THAN ARTIST DONT GOTTA MAKE THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN A CRACA AND A CRACKA

I'm not really POLITICALLY CORRECT, I have my own beliefs and my own way of life. The government doesn't give a fuck about drugs, if they have satellites that can pick someones nose, you would think they could see the drug trafficking going on!! Some people may give a fuck, but there's nothing being done about it, plain and simple, fact not fiction. Look around on the streets pimp, it isn't hard to see!! About cats that aren't black using the "N" word...did I say I agreed with that? NO, in fact I never made mention of that!!

And if Paris is in fact referring to the record industry and not "white folks" in general, it's all good...cause like I said I know there are crackers out there, but I'm not one of 'em, so if somebody said ALL WHITE PEOPLE ARE CRACKAS, of course I'd be fuckin offended. BUT, if Paris is just speakin on a certain group of cats who he believes to be crackers, that's on him, that's fine...cause I'll agree with him all day on that one!!

Like I said, I'm not POLITICALLY CORRECT...I just address issues in a certain way, a way that a lot of cats can't. I DO make the distinction between a bitch and a woman in my music, and in life...I let it be known there are Italians like me, then there's the mafia...that there's white people and crackers, that there's good in the government along with bad!! I even speak on the good and bad side of still breathin' man....I make distinctions, I address shit from both angles. You're looking at one verse in my signature, but you aren't hearing 2 songs!! Feel me??

We're gonna have to agree to disagree man. I'll go peep Paris' joint when I get a chance. As for what I think and believe, arguing with me won't change it...most people who disagree with me argue with me and basically tell me I'm wrong or try to point out loopholes (there are none, btw), in my beliefs!! The internet isn't going to explain to you what I'm talkin about with full meaning, just like it won't explain to me what you're talkin about!!

Paris (and Kam) is using the word "cracka" as a term of resistance against a racist oppressor. You have to decide whether you identify more with the racist oppressor (and thereby take offense to the word "cracka") or with Paris and the oppressed. With your colorblind stance toward race it seems like you identify more with the oppressor than with the oppressed, because by pretending to "not see race" as if everything is equal you are unconsciously endorsing the racial status quo.

If you'd like to deepen your perspective on racism and your issue with the word "cracker" you can peep this article:

I'm not arguing with you here, but you need to explore the issues a bit more deeply.

I agree with Rappin 4 tay. He said Paris was not even street. He never hung in the street of San Francisco. Paris was a Lowell High School and UC Davis graduate.

Now Paris is a millionaire who is mad at the Bush administration.
Its funny how he hates the Hand that feeds him.

I guess Paris career is dependent on trying to diss Bush.

How sorry.
