jesse jesse jesse....

the thug life image may have been gradually added on to his name as the fame grew, but to say he was fabricated? over rated? come on bruh. come on. its impossible to do all he did if he was a fake. how many pac albums you own? 1, 2? i realize every one has an opinion but you just sound ignorant...and your WRONG...no ifs, ands, buts or maybes...your just...wrong
See, this is called "burden of truth". You are telling ME that I am wrong, now its on YOU to prove it.

Theres always ifs, and, or buts, homie...you just have to give valid ones.

Did you know Pac? Did you call him at home? How do you know he wasnt fabricated? Did you listen to anything before All Eyez On Me?

And yes, I own 2 Pac albums, the only ones worth owning.

i never said i knew him on a personnel level, but i have read books and seen dvd's and biographys. and i know a lot about the man and the way he carried himself and what he stood for, and bottom line is i think he kept it 100% real. from all the sources of info i have seen, he was just a real ass dude with deep meaningful lyrics that went beyond "bitches and hos" and whatever else these clown rap about these days, he was so deep and im just disapointed someone like you cant appreciate or see that. i aint here to argue homie, its whatever, i just strongly disagree with your points.

LOL...is this supposed to sway my decision? Terrible presentation, my friend...
Yea, because it's FACT! It was in an interview, and that was in the answer. Just because I don't remember WHO said it, doesn't mean it's false. I don't know how you can argue with something that was said from somebody's mouth who was PRESENT when it was goin' down.

Because he wasnt "thug" until then...he was black power...free speech...then he sold out...
Actually, the THUG came out in him a few years prior to All Eyez On Me. Know your history before you speak on it, because now you do sound like a kid. Remember THUG LIFE? Wasn't that released in 1994? AEOM was released in 1996. So, the THUG LIFE image was there before he was this huge Death Row Records super star.

What else happened before he signed to Death Row? Oh shit, he shot a couple off-duty cops in Atlanta! He beat up the Hughes brothers and bragged about it on national television...that's not exactly a fabricated image, is it? That's not including the countless other cases he had for god knows what. 2Pac didn't fabricate his image...he personified the shit that most people were afraid to. Oh yea, then he got shot after stompin' Orlando Anderson in the middle of a huge Las Vegas Casino! But you're right, he wasn't down for his shit...it was all make believe.

2Pac didn't change who he was for anybody, he said what he was thinking at all times. "There's a ghetto up in heaven and it's ours/BLACK POWER"...he was yellin' that line on AEOM...it wasn't all thug shit, but you wouldn't know that 'cause you weren't paying attention. Have you ever knocked MAKAVELI from start to finish? Or did you only hear TO LIVE & DIE IN LA and TOSS IT UP?? That album was just emotional, period! Real deep shit that most folks like you don't know about because you think he sold out. "WHITE MAN'S WORLD"..."KRAZY"..."BLASPHEMY"..."JUST LIKE DADDY"....go knock those...

He might not have known 'Pac, but I've met and had a face to face conversation with Mopreme...I've had quite a FEW face to face conversations with Shock G, Money B and a couple other folks you may have heard of...like Atron Gregory. 2Pac wasn't Fabricated by any means...that's coming from folks that knew him best during and after his come up. He just grew differently. Remember, the way somebody thinks can change dramatically between 19 and 25...a lot of shit happened to 2Pac after he released his first album, I don't blame him for being pist off. Everybody has a Jekyl and Hyde in them...to what degree is determined by ones mentality.

I think Tupac was the realest rapper, you could feel what he was saying, nobody else has come close since. My favourite tracks are Life Goes On, How Long Will They Mourn Me?, Dear Mama, So Many Tears.

LOL^^^

I never considered him as a bay rapper, but a lot of his music was put out when he was livin in the bay. His music is timeless... the real definition of ahead of his time. People bumpin his shit almost 11 years later.
He put out music with something to say... about what's goin on in the world.. real events, etc. He didn't focus on reppin where he from like most of the rap now days. Anyways, he the G.O.A.T in my opinion.

Too many songs to list... so here's a few:

Thug Love verse

I Couldn't have said it better.

To add to what you said, Thug Life is a direct derivative from his Black Panthers/ Me Against the World mentality. Jesse can you explain to me what part of his persona was fabricated? Pac's perspective of "Thug Life" was not in the criminal sense but rather it was in the perspective of the underdog in society, and that came from his own mouth. Can you see how this resembles his Black Panthers mentality? How is this aspect fabricated? Are you saying Tupac did not experience hardship and discrimination during his life? Or is it that you're saying his "gangster" image is fabricated?

Keep in mind that EVERYONE changes over time, we are ALL made to grow, and that transition in his music from Me Against the World to All Eyez on Me is only a product of his growth in life.
What could have sparked this change in passion, work ethic, and perspective?
well MAYBE it could have been that the man just went through being shot with 5 BULLETS 2 grazing his head, just barely escaping the grasp of death. Not to mention the national media attention and rumors that surrounded the incident. I would think that this incident accompanied with his SODOMY Courtcase all within a months span of time would naturally make a man to CHANGE.

Maybe you still think everything he says after Me Against The World is fabricated but I dont give a fuck what you think, just trying to spread a little knowledge for the people who seek it on here.
