Just read on boxingscene.com that Arum has completely ruled out a third fight w/ marquez!!!!! he says the champ should not have to go down in weight and drain himself!!!! I dont understand why they cant meet at 142! pac fights @ 144 anyway.... what do u guys think?

Pretty dumb. Its obvious that he has to eat 7,000 calories a day just to keep his weight up. I think he can make 140 without trying. This is the fight we should have been watching in May.

Of course, Arum is all about business and the reality of it is that Pacquiao has the leverage here. Marquez simply isn't a draw, therefore Top Rank is able to essentially call the shots as far as whether the fight happens or not, and at what weight.

Don't believe Pacquiao would be "drained" at 142 or even 140. This is one of the best fights in boxing than can be made, two top 5 P4P guys, and it probably won't happen. SMH

I think Pac could easily make 135 but oh well. I used to dog floyd for not going down in weight but I'm not so sure he'd be able to make 140 all that easy anymore. Pac would've earned so much more respect if he went down in weight to fight marquez than beating Mosley, no matter how the mosley fight turns out

I still think Marquez or Timothy Bradley is next after Mosley, despite what the bob father says. He flip flops a lot.

Personally I would much rather it be Bradley (assuming he beats alexander). Bradley has been pretty beastly. Marquez, well we've see marquez-pacquiao two times already and while they were good fights I do kinda agree with The Bob that marquez doesn't belong above 135.

I didn't have interest in Pacquiao/Marquez at 147 at all really. At least if pac moved to 140 it adds a little bit of a dynamic to it but not much. In reality, that probably just means Pac is in better shape than he had been in his last 2 fights and beats him even easier.

I dont think pac will fight the winner of any fight if his pattern continues!

and golden boy isnt the "busines" reason the fight wasnt made!!!! de la hoya agreed to step aside and let arum reap all benifits!!!! and isnt mosley gettin 15m, and marquez (who ask a too high 5M) "out priced himself?" SMH

Marquez wanted a 5M gaurantee plus $5 per pay per view which is about double of what he got against mayweather.

So in the bob fathers eyes, he'd have to agree that marquez deserves double of what he got from floyd.

does he? no way

Shane aint getting 15 million, that's only if it sells like 1.2 million or more PPV which it wont it will sell like 800K and James Prince/Shane Mosley will walk away with $5 million or so total and pac gets the rest (~ $20 million).

Look, there are no more top rank fighters left for pacquiao to fight (shane was a free agent and basically did whatever top rank told him to do) so pacquiao most certainly will have to fight someone like marquez or bradley and my bet is it's bradley, being that arum talks so highly of him all the time which is unusual.

I showed you guys Manny's pattern of picking fighters, and was called a dumb ass for doing it. It's funny to see people finally catching on to what Manny and Top Rank is doing. Fighting nothing but damaged weight drained named fighters. Old ass Mosley is going to beat Manny up thou anyway. Mosley is not going to be weight drain like Cotto and Margarito. It's funny how Manny fans never want to bring up the fact that Manny is always whining about drug testing his opponents (Margarito and now Mosley), but yet he's scared to take one himself to fight Mayweather. This fight will answer a lot of my questions about Pac-Man to me..

^^Pacquiao never whined about drug testing with margarito, freddie roach had a panic attack minutes before the fight because an unknown substance (Hydroxycut) was put into margarito's water/coffee.

It turns out though that Margarito has ALWAYS taken legal stimulants before his fights, which he stated in an interview after the pacquiao fight.

but since you're a psychic who will be pac's next opponent?

Just like in his fight against Mosley in January ’09, a discussion erupted in the dressing room of Margarito prior to his fight with Pacquiao. For many, the disruption might of caused them to lose focus or at least feel deja vu but for Margarito, it was just another day at the office, “I was relaxed because I knew they were going to act that way to see if I would get anxious. The truth, I never got nervous. It seems that Roach knew, allegedly, that I was taking a bad substance but he doesn’t know anything. He said I wanted to take some pills. I have taken those pills for years and I have never had a problem in the drug tests. They are only energy pills and they are sold over the counter.”

After they didn’t let me take them, I said ‘ok’ and I asked for a cup of coffee but again they said that I couldn’t have it because I asked for Splenda and they said it wasn’t sugar. I didn’t have to give them any explanations but I think they were just looking over me and trying to get in my head.”

Someone fill me in...when has Manny ever "whined about drug testing" ?

When has he ever asked for anything beyond what the state commissions require?

I guess not taking the Mayweather fight on May 2010 because you didn't want to take random drug testing with a 7-day cut-off window is not whining about testing. OK..

My point is how can Roach ask for Margarito to be tested but his fighter Manny is too scared to take random drug testing, Then Roach talked some more shit about Mosley needs extra testing but when Mosley said cool just have Manny take the same test. Roach got quiet as a church mouse.. Like i stated before stop bring up drug testing Manny and just take the test so you can fight Mayweather.
