Several star artists like Three 6 Mafia, Ne-Yo, Dipset and T.I. hit the Hot 97 Summer Jam stage last night (June 4) at Giants Stadium, but Busta Rhymes may have just stole the show.
“Let me show you what type of 'New York Sh*t' I’m on,” Busta yelled to the roaring crowd, before bringing out the legendary likes of Rakim, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane and the Wu-Tang Clan.
Rakim performed the classic “Eric B. Is President,” while Slick Rick told the crowd his “Children’s Story.” Big Daddy Kane performed “Warm It Up, Kane,” while Wu-Tang got the crowd hyped with their rousing cut, “Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nuthing ta F’ Wit.”
Busta, with a neck full of frozen water, brought out Missy Elliot, Rah Digga and Papoose to perform his live “Touch It (remix),” and later, he closed his set performing “Scenario” with Q-Tip.
Earlier in the show, the Academy Award-winning Three 6 Mafia explained to the crowd how Crunchy Black was replaced in the group by their Oscar Award.
Later, Ne-Yo and Remy Martin tore up the stage with a performace of “Feels So Good” and Jamie Foxx surprised the crowd by bringing out LL Cool J, who rocked the stage with “Headsprung.”

Comment A funny moment in the concert came when Dem Franchize Boyz yelled, “They don’t believe who your girlfriend is,” in the direction of rapper/producer Jermaine Dupri, who then brought out Janet Jackson. Following Jackson, J.D. kept the surprises coming by bringing out Mariah Carey, who let the crowd sing the hook of her smash hit, “We Belong Together.”
Although fans may have been expecting 50 Cent to hit the stage with Mobb Deep, they were pleased when the Infamous took to the stage performing, “Shook Ones,” a New York City classic.
Also, the crowd seemed to love T.I., who hit the stage performing smash hits like, “Motivation,” “ASAP,” “Rubberband Man” and “Bring ‘Em Out.” However, the crowd was disappointed as Tip’s mic was cut off due to time constraints.
Although fans may have been expecting to see Cam’ron and Dipset verbally thrash Jay-Z on stage, the Harlem crew closed out their set and the concert with classic cuts from their collection, including Jim Jones', "Certified Gangsters."
Artists like Yung Joc, Trey Songz, Sean Paul, Young Jeezy and Chris Brown also performed at Summer Jam.
