Any tna fans in here? and if so tell me what you think about their direction.
I really like the angle with the main event mafia, anybody can get behind that, and steiner in a suit? woo lol.

TNA Impact! that aired recently was much better than the last few episodes in my opinion quality wise.. I much prefer the overall appearance of the show now than what was currently being used also.. a step in the right direction.

The Main Event Mafia angle they are using seems eeringly familiar to a rehashed WCW angle where the New Bloods where pittedagainst the veterans.. it is working though as long they don't overkill it and start hiring has beens in a continuing effort to keep the angle going ala NWO in its dying days.

I don't mind the shootish type comments played back and forth on there program.. gives it a different niche than WWE in that regard.. as long as the X-Division is showcased to there potential like in there early years than I am entertained. We haven't had TNA programming in Australia for all that long Impact! wise.. but from what I have seen it appears to be getting better.

You could say it also reminds you of the New Blood vs. ECW Originals thing WWE had going for a while. It's not exactly a new concept to pit a group of young wrestlers against a group of veterans, but you can't fault them much since 90% of the storylines you see are rehashed out of something you've already seen. That's just the way things work, only so many ideas can be original before the pool dries up.

The production quality has definitely taken a step up in their transition to HD. Something that used to annoy me to no end was their pyros, especially the fact that the smoke from them would linger like a cloud for five minutes, seems they installed some vent fans when they redesigned things, which is good.

I'm not sure who is worse though, Scott Steiner, or Mike Adamle. I seriously want to turn my TV off anytime Steiner reaches for a mic. If they wanted him for their "Hitman," they should have left him the silent stand in the back of the group until a fight breaks out type. Alwell.

As for the "shootish type comments" giving them a different niche than WWE, I would have to disagree with you there. The Batista/HBK feud had some "shootish type comments" thrown back and forth between the two. Triple H likes to toss them out too. Then there was Jeff Hardy/MVP as well.

I agree there are shootish type comments being made in WWE as well.. just seems TNA uses them far more frequently in there storylines.. Kurt Angle to Jeff Jarrett, Sting to AJ Styles.. Steiner to the original TNA talent, there prevalent all over the show..

I am not a huge fan of Scott Steiner either.. I barely liked him when people ate his character up in WCW as Big Poppa Pump.. I could do without all the music videos that TNA put in there shows as well.. the same video package appears 2 to 3 times each Impact!, becomes monotonous where the time could be better spent on anything else..

seeing as how I have never seen a full episode of impact, I will say one thing. I caught one of these video packages once while in the hotel at a casino, and much to my surprise, they were playing a song by Crash Anthem. Thought it was pretty cool seeing a local Minneapolis, MN band getting national attention on a show like that. That is about the equivalent of the WWE putting a Tech song on their program around the time anghellic was getting ready to be released. Tech probably had the same size fanbase around that time as Crash Anthem has, which is what surprised me.

I think the MEM has potential to be a great stable. I think the mic work is incredible. You got Kurt Angle who is just great on the mic, Scott Steiner can fuck up every line and still sound good(I think he did a good job on last weeks impact you can tell he tried hard, there were alot of lines to memorize), Sting is just decent but he seems to have gotten better, Booker is good- and I like his ridiculous accent. And Nash seems like the heart of the group, the sensible one.

Also, I'm starting to like Joe less, they're making him look like a punk. Like when he said he had a new recruit, and christian goes out and tells him that he's not picking a side.

TNA is trash.

I can't even watch it. 95% of the wrestlers in TNA are just mimicking WWE wrestlers. One guy pretends to be Macho Man, another pretends to be Stone Cold, there's some dude pretending to be Scott Steiner ever though Scott Steiner is on the fucking show... It's lame as fuck.

I'm not surprised michampin likes it.

You can't really pin Black Machismo as ripping off a WWE character considering Randy Savage spent a good amount of time in WCW, he even popped up in TNA for a short time in 2005 or so from what I understand. The Shark Boy one however I'll give you, that was a poor decision. The Steiner thing was all a storyline that saw Petey join up with Big Poppa Pump, then Steiner went down with an injury and the look just stuck on Petey, now Steiner's back... and... well... yeah.

oh shit... I TOLD YALL SO!!:

"Earlier this evening, PWInsider.com confirmed with two sources that Scott Hall was in fact booked for the TNA Turning Point 2008 PPV and would at some point be involved in a match. Hall along with the Insane Clown Posse appeared in the front row during the Rhino vs. Sheik Abdul Bashir match. Mike Tenay only referenced to them as "familiar faces" and the camera generally avoided them. All attention was turned to Hall as he settled in the front row with ICP, as the crowd was chanting \"Razor\" and throwing up Wolfpac signs while Rhino was making his comeback in the match. Bashir taunted Hall from ringside, as did Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly in the next match. By the time the bell rang for Christian vs. Booker T, Hall and company had left.

At least one member of TNA has claimed to ProWrestling.Net that the company did not know Scott Hall was going to appear at ringside, which may explain why Tenay tried not to refer to him by name. Hall and the Insane Clown Posse were all wearing black and white shirts promoting their JCW wrestling promotion. Hall is said to be good friends with ICP, and has never no-showed any of their JCW events."

yall shoulda listened, i got that insider info.. THE JWO INVASION HAS BEGUN!!! THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING. WOOP WOOP

"The joke backstage was that Hall took a full year to show up for his scheduled pay-per-view appearance"

That's beyond hilarious.
