They stopped producing it in 2002. Coca-Cola says that sales slipping was the reason for them ousting it, but it was actually due to the company stealing the name "Surge" from a mom and pop restaurant in Arkansas that still operated a jerk fountain. Though the drink tasted different, it's color was green and the name had an already existing copyright owned by the family.
