To clarify, I mean anything outside of what is popular now.

I'm not too sure how to describe Arcade Fire.
That Handsome Devil is a jazzy/swing alternative rock band.
Anitbalas Afrobeat Orchestra is self explanitory.
Blue Sky Black Death is a production duo that uses samples - like complex rap beats.
Joe Satriani is a damn good guitar player.
Liquid Tension is progressive instrumental rock.
