Everytime I walk into fye I pick up this guys cd then I put it back. Every single time. I missed him on the tour and really dont know much about his music. Can someone let me know if I should dish out the cash next time I stop in. Is it worth it. What are some songs to look out for. Any help would be apprciated.

I like Stevie Stone's music not as much as HopSin but he was still a good sign nonetheless.
I got the the cd for $10 and just about every track goes IN.

It's worth it! Stevie is dope, I'm excited for the new stuff he's working on cause he's reached out for a lot of features. To those of you in the Colombia, MO area he's doing the video premire for "midwest explosion" at the blue note on April 16. I know of a few dates in the Kansas area but let me double check them before I post them cause I don't want to give out the wrong information!

Man, everybody on here is a Stone dickrider. I mean I put up the money at FYE and bought his album. There are a few solid tracks. But it isn't a well-rounded album WHATSOEVER. It's all filler and little killer lol And you can tell this thing took forever to finally be released because a lot of the beats sound hella old. Also, I understand you want stuff catchy, but damn. It's like every song was trying to teach me some new repetitive ass lingo. But, everybody is right. Stevie is talented. It's not horrible for a debut...but I think with better backing (label), better production and a better mindset as far as topics...a Stone album would be immaculate because the dude has good flow and a good voice.

Production doesn't get much better than this chum. Also, how do you tell how old a beat sounds? Do they come with expiration dates?

damn you are one funny SOB...not! And yes, production does get better. The mixing and mastering sounds clean...which is all Ruthless probably had to offer the guy, but the beats are def not a new sound by any means. If Stevie released an album on Strange, you would know exactly what I'm talking about. So zip it.
