you hear their "Hip Hop" instrumental everytime Dave Chappelle comes out on his show...their newest album is tight as hell with their single "Hell yeah"...I wish Tech was up on that track! But anyways, check out the music video:

it kinda reminds me of a rap version of Prodigy's "Smack My Bitch Up!" because of the camera angles....they also got a nice rock remix to this song and another remix with Jay-Z on it up on their album.

I tend to disagree. Some people argue that they are anti-white. I find it hard to believe that any people that are fighting for equality the way that Dead Prez are could be racist. The members of Dead Prez are far too intelligent to stoop to racist levels.

i wouldn't say that they are fighting for equality for ALL people though. they group all white people together as crackers who rule the world. the truth is, it's not white people who rule the world, it's rich people, and yes, the majority of these rich people are white, they have less in common with middle class and poor white people than the poor and middle class have in common with black people. what they are saying would be no different then what bill oreilly or rush limbaugh say about black people.

thanks, and I don't think that it's lame at all cause Tech has the talent to collab with ANY type of track wether it be hot and popular or underground....whatever part that Tech's in,(shitty song or not) with others...it will steal the show.
some examples of Tech's parts on shitty songs:
-"Serial Killaz" with Twiztid
-"Thug Pit" with KMK,BONE,Psychopathic,etc.

and I'm sure there's alot more, but I don't feel like pointing out more.

racism always must involve a differential in power. most of the time the power in a relationship is in the hands of whites

anyway, good CD, nothing amazing. Let's Get Free was much better, more fluid, more intelligent

so the power is in the hands of whites, that doesn't mean that they aren't racist if they say things about white people the same as a white person would say shit about black people. it's reverse racism to think that hating white people because they are white isn't racism.

it depends on individual situations, but social scientes for about a half a century have defined racism in terms of power differentials

there are instances when blacks can be racist against whites. more often than not incidents occur involving whites being racist against blacks.

within economic & cultural systems, whites are a racist whole...blacks as a whole cannot be by definition



it cannot be denied, however, that m-1 and stic man are quite prejudiced...

On the Tech N9ne side of things: Tech should get with these dudes and do some FTI shit. That would be dope.

I totally agree with you man. Tech and DP should do SOMETHING together to help each other out so DP can be known even more on the westcoast and so Tech can be known alot more in New York/Eastside. Also, I could see some RBG/FTI joint movement if they ever do shit together.

Tech and dead prez.....don't you talk to (tech and travis), well tell them that Pimps Plenty said to hookup with dpz! haha I think dpz's first joint only sold like 300,000 (still underground). Also, they always sayin something about how the industry is fukkked up and shit. So that collabo would be tight.

Yeah, a tech and DP track would be sick. And Shep, I don’t think they are racist. I read an interview a while back which they explained their use of the term “cracker.” They said something along the lines that they aren’t sayin it as disrespect to white people, they use it to refer to rich white men, who in reality, control the wealth/economic system, thus control amerika.

Also, I think DP has the mentality of ‘Black Panther’ type revolutionaries, who use the terms “nigga”, “cracka” etc.

I personally don’t think they should use the term, not because I think its racist, but simply because it turns people away from their music.
