Brady was a backup at one point, so was Kurt Warner. I like Thigpen, but feel like Pioli knows something we don't....and with his success building New England I'm gonna trust him.

Chiefs get THEIR man.

This is great news! I can't think of a better direction to go, especially with a draft coming up that is so weak on QBs. Gave up the 2nd round draft pick, but Cassle is worth it, considering they pretty much just used that pick to get their man at QB. Excellent move by Scott Pioli. Now they can use those draft picks on protecting the QB instead! :)

at first i was thinking the reason the vikings didnt go after cassell was because the pats wanted too much for him so they went with sage instead, now i know the reason is the coaching staff wanted another reason to prove they are fucking idiots.

LOL!

The chiefs are really reaching on this one...

Cassel played decent on the Pats.. with established weapons at every position. I think he will stink it up in KC.. sorry..

Only good thing is they didnt give much and also snagged Vrable.. Im pissed the Pats let him go.. he was a great all-around player

Pats will miss him flying off the edge and stripping the ball.. plus dude has like 10 career catches for 10 touchdowns.. crazy

i dont think the coaching staff for mn are idiots... cassel would be a substantial amount of money, and we certainly dont need an amazing star at QB. also with a chance of us getting houshmanzadahdofhsd, cassel and housh would have been quite a load to deal with on the pay cap... im happy with the choice of sage, if we get housh, vikes will be fucking kicking ass.

The ones down playing Cassell didn't really pay attention last season I guess. The dude hasn't started a game since High School for starters. Atleast 10 of the Patriots starters were hurt and didn't play for the majority of the season, go ahead and look it up. Sooo if you take a look at this kids stats and his record with the little experience in starting I would have to say he did exceed beyond expectations. Good pick up for the Chiefs, unless you call last season luck on Cassell's part.

Or the guys saying that it's a bad move are just so used the Chiefs being the losers of the NFL (besides the bengals) that no matter what KC does your gonna talk shit and think your team is going to have the worst season. Actually it's like the movie Major League with that Indians fan haha.

Dont get me wrong.. Cassel played well on the PATRIOTS. But as a Chief with a shitty o line and no deep threats (except Bowe, hes good but needs work) or WES WELKER... I dont see him meeting expectations. The Pats system is probably the best in the NFL.. plus youre also forgetting that Cassel had 4 years or so under it before he started a game.

The Chiefs would have been better of with Thigpen and their draft picks IMO.. This draft is really deep, lots of sleepers that wont get picked first round..
