I recently bought this CD from moonlightsales on amazon for the price of 65 dollars. In the description it said re-issue but this CD from 96 was originally a re-issue of the 95 version. In addition this seller listed the first original issue at 10x the price.
I got the CD today and it sure looks like a bootleg. The inner rim has numbers (like CDRs), and the back tray is scanned. The front cover comes with the front cover picture only.
Has the seller sold me a bootleg or was this 96 version like this? I hope somebody can help me out.
Thanks

yeah i know moonlightsales.. I've bought 3 things from em, before they cottoned on to the collectability of their items, and after.

They were sellin a cdr version of Caine's 'In A World So Cold' for $1,000.. Theyve bootlegged before, so I don't see why they wouldn't do it again..

"Look what the streets made" was never officially re-released, or re-pressed.

Thanks, homies. I'll be filing a complaint unless they refund my money.
But I thought there were two releases of this album, one which was released in 95 and one in 96.

And yeah, the covers are scanned, for real. I opened up the plastic tray and checked everything. Damn, they jacked me for $65. so much for the feedback system on amazon...

The OG (96) release has an insert for sure.

I only saw a tape version of the 95 release. Never actually saw a CD release of it.
I have the OG 1995 version on CD and it does have crisp inserts. Both front and back inserts. It's late right now, but I post the pics tomorrow, when I get out of school. Just remind me, because I'm getting a lot of stuff ready for my store!!! I get too focused and forget.

Does it say ZYX records on it anywhere?

they're a company based in Germany that re-issue classic & new gangsta shit. Sometimes they do lazy jobs and do some bootleg shit with cdrs & scanned covers.
Haha, ZYX are notorious on the re-issue tip. I have some ZYX released but this one ain't from them. It was a sealed Cd with the typical blurry scanned back and front tray. The inlays are on thick cardboard-ish paper. I guess it is some non-glossy photopaper or something. The cover isn't even cut properly.

I have filed a complaint now so hopefully I will get my money back within a short period of time.

Or do you have a CD version of that tape you're selling?

BTW, anybody got an extra real CD version of this album that they are willing to sell? What does it normally go for?
