the early 90s was the best time for rap. 36 chambers, the predator, doggystyle, and in a major way are probly the best rap cds ever made. imo

Man, all this talk about old school, rap and no one has mentioned the dopest group of all time. I'm talkin of course about the 2 Live Crew. Those muthafuckaz changed the game. Because of them, all music (not just rap) deemed by critics to be "explicit" must have that parental advisory sticker on it.

Actually, the Parental Advisory sticker is optional. It doesn't have to be put on explicit albums.

I'm loving it now but I dont listen to the so called "popular" hip hop.

I listen to Mr. Lif and Akro, MF Doom and Madlib. Demigodz to Jedi Mind Tricks, Aesop Rock and C-Rayz.. etc
and I personally think they just killing it to the beats being incredible and better then ever and the rhymes being longer saying more and just all together better written.
