HIT-RUN SLAY
By JOHN DOYLE and CYNTHIA R. FAGEN
In a fit of unbridled, jealous rage, a two-timing Brooklyn woman mowed down the father of her unborn child with her other boyfriend's SUV - killing the former amateur boxer as he sat on his bicycle, police said yesterday.

In a twisted case of payback, Michael Cooper, 49, whom police described as the woman's longtime live-in boyfriend, called cops on the six months' pregnant suspect, Janine Harrington, 25.

She then turned herself in and was charged with murder and possession of a deadly weapon, cops said.

Relatives of victim Jeffrey Moore, 45, said an obsessed Harrington unjustly believed he had been cheating on her with other women. They said she had brazenly attempted to run him down twice before.

"She was very jealous of him," said Moore's sister, Jade Oliver, 57. "She comes down a one-way street on the sidewalk to murder somebody. This ain't the first time. So she finally succeeded."

Yesterday at around 6 a.m., the frazzled mom-to-be spotted Moore on his red Fuji mountain bike along Rockaway Avenue near Chauncey Street in Brownsville.

Witnesses said she gunned the Nissan Pathfinder the wrong way down a one-way street the wrong way, then hopped the curb and plowed into him from behind, ran over him, then backed up over him again.

"She drove up on the curb and rolled over him and reversed," said Eric, 29, an eyewitness.

"The bike was under the wheel. She got out, pulled the bike out from under the car, backed up and left. He was just lying there looking straight up in the air," said Eric, who withheld his last name.

Another witness said, "People are screaming, telling her, 'You're going to get in trouble! Don't go!' and she says, 'I have to.' "

Police sources said cops received a 911 call from a hysterical woman who said she had just run over someone. But when cops arrived she had left. The SUV was found abandoned on Gunther Place, a few blocks away.

Moore, who served time for robbery and was facing assault and attempted robbery charges in Brooklyn, was declared dead at Brookdale Hospital.

"What kind of person is that? What kind of heart do you have to do something like that?" demanded Oliver, who said her brother was once an amateur boxer.

"That's not a woman, she's a beast."

His niece, Antoinette Moore, 20, said Harrington tried to run over Moore on May 19 and then punched him.

I did read. she had 2 40 year old guys. cheating should be illegal. or at least cheating should be a valuable defense tool used in courts;

Judge: why did you strike the victim repeatedly, then shave off half her hair?

Defendant: She cheated on me with....

Judge: No need to say anymore, case dismissed
