OFFICIAL: PHOTOGRAPHY THREAD

There's been a lot of questions and inquiries about photography as of late. People asking what kind of cameras to buy, what kind of lighting/studio equipment to purchase, camera settings (shutter speed/aperture), etc. As we know, photography is a game thats not that easy to get into. Not like graphics, where u can download software and get started. Way more work, especially financially.
So, this is where people can come and ask questions about photography and hopefully the veterans will share their knowledge with the newcomers.

Keep the negativity/arguments/shit talking out of this thread. Take it to the other thread.

Here's some sites that can help:

what i think would be dope if some of the photographers that post here would show a pic (before photoshop) and show what the settings they used were. I've got an SLR, external flash and lighting, but i usually just use the basic presets. I never had any training in photography, and I've been winging it too long. my shit comes out dope, but I'd like to do less in photoshop and more with the camera.

lady tragik, columbo, cheeto, kadafi - I'm always impressed, hip us to some game, i'd appreciate it.

my guess is his pics have already been photoshopped, most pics don't come out the cam clean like that at all..... those joints look nice, I like the clean crisp colors, I don't like when people try to mess with the light & do all types of funny overlays for just basic photo's unless it's an actual graphic design, some light stuff looks good sometimes though, just depends

yeah I was about to buy another lens, I ain't really know much about the lens & shit to even look into them...... they only had 1 other lens available for the cam at the time as it was a new cam.... they probably have more now, but what are the specifics to even look for in a lens?

It all depends on what you need and want, what kinda flics you wanna take, specific or for just general everyday type shit, portraits or landscapes......

For my Canon I have tha basic 18-55 witha fisheye adaptor, a 28-135 image stabilizer, and a 70-200 L......I copped a 50mm f4 but didnt really need it so I returned it......

I use tha 28-135 for indoor studio shots, events and landscapes and the 70-200 for outdoor portraits where I have alot of room to work wit....

It just depends on what youre comfortable wit and what you wanna spend I guess

I do wanna save up for a 10-22 tho!

I think you might need a new cam all together if they only had one other lens when it was released....Get a Nikon or a Canon
