i been up on this guy for like 3 years after reading moneyball...followed him at the triple AAA level, im always pulling for this guy to do well. honestly, hes my favorite player...can play the outfield, first base, hes got power to all sides. i just hope that he keeps his k's down and his avg. up. plus, hes a real ass cat (it seems), hes funny, and a good addition the ballclub...i love his confidence. he seems everything a baseball player should seem. i have no problems saying that im getting my second swisher jersey (one home, one away) pretty soon. needless to say, yes this guy is raw. hes only gonna get better.

i dont think 30/35 homers is out of reach.

real talk. he should easily reach that 30-35 homer plateau. dude is raw. i had no idea he was that good until last year and than this year. dude is sicc. last i checked he was battin about .340 or so with 11 bombs

edit: im drunk..just check his stats and the scores..10 bombs about 320...and whats happening to the a's tonight.. damn thats an ass whoopin

I hope he can keep this up but I'm going to have to wait and see...

FYI Swisher is gonna be on 1550 AM in a few minutes on the post-game show. He's on every Tuesday after the game, but today this week because yesterday was a getaway day.

I never thought Swisher would hit over .300. I don't remember him ever getting real close to .300 in the minors. He's changed his swing and approach this season, hopefully he can keep it up...

When Kendall gets suspended Brown will probably get called up... But I don't know if they'll give him a start or just keep him on the bench as backup and have Melhuse start every game...

u know what? the speculation im hearing is he'll get called up if kendall suspended, and if that happens, ive heard they'll start brown, which in that case i think they just wanna give the guy a chance since its so early in the season. i dont see any reason why they wouldnt.

A reason why he might not is because he's not familiar with the staff or with any of the major league hitters. The pitching has been bad enough this season, I dunno that they'd wanna have a rookie calling the game.

Macha said today he wants defense in the catcher they call up... It's probably gonna be Kurt Suzuki.

By the way, Swisher's line today: 2 for 2 with 2 doubles, 3 walks & 3 RBI's.

yeah, swisher had a big game. what about gaudin? that guy did a suprising good job. i bet that will be a future combo later in the season, saarloos going 5 or 6 and gaudin going 3 or 4

I think the scouting report on Suzuki & Brown's defense is Bad & Worse.

Gaudin will probably make the rotation in the next couple years. Toronto was crazy to get rid of him.

They're trying to convert Daric Barton to a 1B/OF, they don't want him catching anymore.
