I stopped rooting for Floyd when he started fighting the Henry Brussels and Sharamba Mitchell's of the world.

I would love nothing more than to see him get KO'd.

War Pacman.

I think his ego, plus the fact that he secretly envys (sp?) Manny might lure him into a fight and not a boxing match. Plus, for once...Floyd won't have an advantage in the endurance and speed departments.

The guard will eventually crack, and he will get caught.

I think one huge disadvantage for Mayweather is that he hasn't been in the ring with anyone very good in a few years. Sure, Manny hasn't ever been in the ring with someone of Floyd's caliber, but Floyd hasn't been in the ring with anyone even on the same tier as Manny in years.

Arum is pushing everyone involved. He's making it happen though.
I think March is too soon, but throughout the years you learn to accept that Manny knows exactly what he's doing. They are going to have to cut out a promotional tour. Manny needs to be in camp no later than early Jan.

Odds have shifted and PBF is now the slight fave (-115).

^^They basically had to do March because of Manny's Politics shit going on and who knows wtf his life will be like if he wins office. He may never box again for all we know.

I gotta give props for Bob Arum though, he's been by far the greatest promoter in the last 5-10 years I think.

Mayweather - Pacquiao
Pacquiao - Cotto
Pacquiao - Hatton
Pacquiao - Oscar
Margarito - Cotto
Cotto - Mosley
Cotto - clottey
etc etc etc

He puts on quality fights. Not always the best undercards, but he gets the stars to fight the stars and he's not scared to have his own guys fight eachother.

What is the deal with the hold up on the 60-40 split?

Didn't you post some some PPV numbers a while back that show Floyd really isn't a bigger draw than Pacman?

Both Floyd & Manny finally agreed to 50/50.

There is soooooo much money to be made here there is no point in being greedy. They will generate over $150 million dollars just off of the PPV alone, that doesn't include at gate sales. This fight will be the richest fight in boxing history and it's very possible both fighters will earn over $40 million dollars each!

If it's at dallas stadium lets say 80,000 people buy tickets. They could generate over $40 to $80 million just off ticket sales, plus the PPV revenue which is expected to break the 2.4 million mark, most people think it will even exceed 3 million, some say it could even be close to 5 million. PPV is probably $50 or $60 a pop.....that's a shitload of money.

props though to floyd & manny for taking the 50/50 split though and bob arum for making that happen.
