my friend was bitching about the running game too. he wanted to watch me play a game cause i am known for my running game (thats pretty much all i do). he told me he had been averaging like 30-40 yards with marion barber in his dynasty mode. i played one game and ran for 121 yeards. dont know if its my running style or what but i find no difference in the running game.
I played more last night and I did a little bit better by just trying to be a bit more patient for holes, but still way below my average. My best game last night i had 70 yards total, with a really shitty average like 3.0 a carry.
So, did you let your friend play or have you ever played him before? You can try watching him and pay attention to what you're doing when you run and see if there are subtle differences. Like for example I noticed before I often tried to run too far outside of the tackles, which always worked on previous maddens but now not so much... or when you run, do you use the sprint as soon as you get the hand off or do you wait until you hit the holes? etc

i run everything inside. only time i ever run outside is when the blocking presents its to me. no sprint until i get to the second level. allows for subtle movements finding and getting through holes. no jukes,spins or anything like that,just following blocks and looking for seams
that was the main difference i see in watching other people,they try to do too much to makes things happen. just run,and lets thing develop and then react accordingly.

yep i busted an 80 yarder against the computer last night, then went online in a super lagged game and busted a 70 something yarder. both with mcfadden.
super lagged games are gay, its not like nba2k where you can still manage to play an ok game. you cant pass or kick at all. i would pull the stick back for a kick, and it wouldnt happen for 3-4 seconds... i did get an onside kick online with the super lag tho, kicked it perfect

i've done pretty well running the ball in the previous madden games, but you're right, you can't really run outside the tackles too much this game.
but i quickly learned how to adjust for 09, and i've been running the ball well. what i've been doing is waiting until i find holes and creases, then i'll sprint as soon as i hit them.

ive had quite a few outside runs, it depends on how you do it and who you have. they have to be fast as shit for one to have the break away speed. also depends on defense playcalling.
whats dope is the cuts they make just by using joystick, ive done a hesitation cut then ran outside and said peace defense

yeah CL can be sketchy, but if you have some street sense and common sense its not that sketchy. if you're a puss you could find one for sale in a nice area from white or asian people.
its usually obvious about a sketchy post and a legit one... sketchy ones will only have one line with a phone number and sometimes a cheaper price to hook you. but if you email someone or talk to them on the phone you can get an idea if they are ghetto or not. when buying anything from anyone anywhere you should do some research and ask questions about shit.
you could get jacked on ebay probably easier because they could make a super nice auction with lots of pics and info and spend hella time on it just to scam people. you're sending the money and waiting on them to ship it to you.

ooooh ok thanks for the link. the 80 gig is basically the 40 gig now but with 80 hard drive. no card slots, 2 usb, and no PS2 capable
