Some of the warriors fans in here are fuckin retarded.

On topic though, Rose may be better than Monta now, maybe better, maybe, but Monta is hurt. He got hurt in what was set to be his best season yet (or he would have attempted to do so). We havent seen a 100% monta all year, so to even compare them now is rediculous. We're not going to compare Monta last year to Rose this year, right? thats stupid.

On another note, i take back what i said earlier in this thread and say that the W's are the most dysfunctional team in the NBA right now.

Mullin is dope, we're going to regret not keeping him team.
I like Nellie, and I wanted him to work out this year and next. But now hes like Felipe Alou, you only can only grant so much power to an old, crazy man, especially when u have a talent-packed team and are trying to build a future.

I hope they work something out with Crawford.

See, when you say stuff like "bigger difference maker" and "value throughout the league" you have to back that up with something. What do you base that kind of stuff on?

How is 16pts 4reb 6ast 1stl 3TO 47% FG making a bigger difference than 20pts 5reb 4ast 2stls 2TO and 53% FG?

Rose better at attacking the basket? Nah... But, for the sake of argument let's say he is (even though he isn't): Monta is a waaaaaaaaaay better finisher (halfcourt or open court).

Rose is quicker? Faster? I dunno about that one ...

I'd say it's a draw as far as functional athleticism is concerned. Derrick Rose has some decent youtube dunk videos, but that shit don't mean anything in the league. Rose has great potential. I would never say he doesn't, but he's not there quite yet.

BETTER ATTACKER, BETTER BALL HANDLER, BETTER PASSER, BIGGER DIFFERENCE MAKER, QUICKER, FASTER, MORE ATHLETIC, ETC. MONTA HAS A MORE CONSISTENT MID RANGE BUT ROSE IS DEVELOPING THERE.
I agree with most of what you said except for Rose being quicker/better attacker. I dont think theres anyone quicker in the league than Monta when he's healthy.

CRAWFORD IS THE FARTHEST THING AWAY FROM A BEAST! yes he has superior handles but they go to waste when he shakes his man jus to clank a off balance jumper. we would be a much better team if he shook his man and got to the lane to either lay it up, dish to someone open, or get fouled. But he doesnt! more like a weenie then a beast.
He does shoot alot....But thats nellies offense......If we get a coach that sets an offense up....with crawford running point it would work.....Crawford can attack the rim and dish it out.........No problem..

he has full reign to attack and dish it out but he chooses to settle for poor jumpers...thats the problem...

both joey and skilz is right. Nellie's philosophy is if you have the open j, you gotta take it. We dont get on crawford for takign the open j when he makes it. Even with baron last year was taking ill-advised 3's, but just cause he was baron he was on a longer leash. But this can go for the whole team.

agreed, the only one even close is Barbosa. The only thing ill give to Rose is he is a better point guard if the W's even still plan on making Monta the point.

Stephen Jackson said after Saturday's loss that he and the Warriors are not going to give up regardless of the team's record.
"I don't care if we're last in the league, I'm going to play every game like it's the NBA finals. And I can speak for my teammates that they will do the same...The biggest thing for us is to finish the season as positive as we can." Now we just have to hope that Don Nelson agrees to continue to play his stars.

Nellie is in tank mode, it will pay off in the offseason. We need to get the youngsters as much PT as possible. As for Crawford, I hope he opts out. Dude just goes missing for a few games, highly inconsistent. I'd rather have Raymond Felton for that kind of dough.

As for Monta, he fucked it up. I don't foresee him ever going back to his usual speedy self, his contract will get voided in the offseason.

....

Marcus Williams is finally being waived/bought out. Not sure why this didn't happen earlier, since Nellie had clearly written Williams off back in training camp, and his roster spot could've been used to evaluate other guys or keep their own (ie Richard Hendrix or DeMarcus Nelson).

Monta Ellis was back with the team, just not on the same page as them. Ellis was adamant that his recent time off had nothing to do with his ankle and everything to do with visiting his ill mother in Jackson, Miss. And he repeatedly referred to his mother's sickness as the ONLY reason he wasn't playing, essentially dismissing the Warriors' announcment a few weeks back that Ellis was being shut down over lingering ankle stiffness.
Says Ellis: "That had nothiing to do with that. I went home to see my mom. My mom was sick, that's why I took the time off. It had nothing to do with my ankle."

As for on-court issues? Ellis is expecting to play Wednesday, and Nellie is doing another flip-flop. After saying he wanted Ellis to be the 2-guard while Jamal Crawford handles the point, Nellie now wants Ellis to be the PG for the rest of the season. Which, if you ask Ellis, is what he's been doing all along.

"I've been playing point since I've been back. You go look at the film," he said. "They brought it to me that they want to play me at the one, Jack at the 2. So it is what it is."

Brandan Wright was back doing shooting and conditioning work and says he'll start practicing in 3-on-2 and 2-on-1 drills tomorrow. No affects from last week's minor car accident.

Jamal Crawford and Ronny Turiaf were not at practice. Both had "travel complications," according to a Warriors spokesman. The Warriors did not practice Sunday after returning from their trip.

Corey Maggette was also not at practice due to an excused absence.
