"I dont enjoy coaching that kind of game, isolation basketball, I'd rather have a free flowing game where everybody gets to touch and participate" - Don Nelson
Of course.. But that's what they've been playing and now that it doesn't work you switch it up. He also said something to the effect of he will be changing the way they play (to a ball movement style offense) because 'that's what you do when you're not a dominant team'.

They started out with one philosophy, then decided to change the philosophy. One day he's like "Shoot when you're open", the next day he's like, "Work it around for a better shot". Pretty simple...

The had a ball movement system in the mid 80's late nineties wit RunTMC and Marscelonus(I know I'm spellin that wrong). The key to it was they had the talent to make philosophy and concept work. The talent is mediocre now, but I still think ball movement and team defense is the key. One on one, we cannot do it...

And On Randolph and Wright... It wouldn't be a first option to get rid of them, but sure as the sky is blue, if the right trade came along to get a legit big, then one of they asses if not both of em would be gone in a New York minute. Nellie just aint good with youngsters and that's the truth. He's too stubborn won't givem enough leash to fall down and get back up

monta and biedrins are the 2 best players we have. with maggette and capt jack splitting the 3-4 best players. so once the ship is right and all things are equal, it will balance out. the one thing we need to step up is defense.

Warriors waive Hendrix to make room for Ellis

Posted Dec 18 2008 4:06PM

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Monta Ellis has been transferred from the suspended list to the inactive list by the Golden State Warriors, who waived second-round draft pick Richard Hendrix to make room on their roster.

Ellis was suspended for 30 games without pay after he seriously injured his left leg in an offseason crash on a motorized scooter. The suspension expired with Wednesday's loss at Indiana, but Ellis and the Warriors haven't said when he'll be ready to return to action.

Ellis signed a six-year, $66 million contract shortly before the accident, and initially misled the Warriors about what happened.

Hendrix, who played at Alabama, never appeared in a game with Golden State. He was assigned to Bakersfield of the D-League in mid-November, averaging 13.9 points and 10.9 rebounds with the club.

Although i think at times nelson is allright, what has he won? azabuike is a 6-7 off the bench like it was said. he plays bigger than he is and physically can hold his own. we just cant win like this. jackson cant play 40+ minutes a game and then be expected to step up in the fourth. Let the kids start getting experience and put them on an all protein bulk up diet. the warriors are light in the ass and come the fourth quarter, and as of late, early on, its showing. defense is nowhere to be found.
small ball only worked really well when the original 5 was doing it. J-Rich/Monta, Baron, Jackson, Biendris and Harrington (yes i said Harrington). Now that 3 of them are out the picture its time to play more traditional and have some big men so that its not so easy to score inside the paint and not get out rebounded.

As for Azubuike, i never been to fond of him. i dont hate him but never liked him that much. Like ive always said about him hes got good fundamentals but is average at best at beating people off the dribble and scoring. hes not the best shooter and cannot run an offense like a pg (i cant remember if hes a shooting guard or what).

Hendrix was a guy with some bulk/size and rebounding ability, exactly what the W's need so waiving him over Demarcus Nelson doesn't make alot of sense. Nelson may turn out to be a decent player but right now he doesn't bring anything to the table that the team doesn't already have.

they play hard, but are inexperienced...which could sometimes be seen as lifeless since they dont look like they know what they're doing. Playing no defense also doesnt help since most of it effort alone

word + their defense makes me cry...they got the hawks to turn the ball over a lot in the first half, but that means nothing if u get open shots all game. hawks had 3 or 4 3 pt. plays (foul + 1) in the 4th quarter too
