He's always put up pretty good numbers..and he's always been a loser too.
C'mon man... The cat played for the Clippers for the majority of his career

It can't be his job to do everything off the bench. Other people have to make plays too. It's not like CJ Watson will have problems making plays for other people because Maggette is in the game

the thing about maggette is the warriors wanna play an uptempo game yet maggette goes to the free throw line 15 times a night...slows the game way down when he is in there...

Which is why I never understood why they signed him in the first place. Its nice he takes the ball to the basket alot but its not fun watching a guy shoot free throws the whole game...even if he's helping the team and putting the other team in foul trouble.

You wanna know something funny...In 05-06 Maggette only played 32 games(career low) and ironically thats the best season the Clippers had during his tenure there and they ended up going to the playoffs for the first(and only) time since drafting him.

Point is Maggette will never be anything more than a nice complementary player(off the bench) on the right team.

The Sonics actually drafted him but that's neither here nor there...

What's he doing right now? He's arguably the #2 6th man in the league and cats just wanna ship him out, lol

I guess people don't put much stock in bench production

I didn't say I wanted to ship him out, but I said he's still expendable in the sense that he's not untouchable like alot of people make him out to be here. The only players that should be untouchable on the team are Randolph and Biedrins.

When you have a well rounded team that can win games. The current W's team is poorly built...I dont care how many injuries the team has had. No team is gonna win games that can't defend, pass the ball or rebound consistantly. Alot of that has to do with a mixture of the roster and coaching.

The problem is the roster is being built by 3 different people. Mullin has drafted a bunch of long, lanky and quick big men(Beans, OB, Wright, Randolph), Nelson has refused to give most of them consistant playing because he likes to go small, and now Rowell has been sticking his nose in trying to handle business(extending Jackson and Nellie) and kicked Mullin to the curb when he's helped turn the franchise around.

How do you know if you have a well rounded team when you don't give them a chance to play together? (not you personally 3VID3NC3)

My thing is 'fans' are in such a rush to want to change shit because they're not satisfied with the first 25 games of the season, that they don't give what's currently there time to develop. That instant gratification loop doesn't get you anywhere.

In the W's case, I don't think they need to play together to know the team is over loaded with guards and lacks depth at the 4 and 5 positions. With all the guards the team has, none of them can be considered a true PG, therefore Jackson has to be relied on to be the distributor and make plays which also results in alot of turnovers. Plus you know if Jackson is your #1 option and team leader, the team probally isn't very good anyway.

Stephen Jackson is one of the most underrated all around players in the league though.

I don't see a problem with having someone OTHER than your PG be your playmaker. The Spurs have Tony Parker, who averages 7 assists, but he's hardly considered a true PG or looked at as a great playmaker.

Being a traditionalist has it's downside.

I agree about Jackson being underrated.
There isn't anything wrong with someone other than a PG being the key playmaker(see Lebron James)
The problem is, Jackson is the only real playmaker the team has. Bellineli has shown flashes as well as Monta but he hasn't been back long enough to show a consistant improvement. And as good as Jackson has done embracing a PG role, he still turns the ball over way to much.
