nelson is planning on not playing crawford tomorrow and is going to hold out some of his vets to let the young guys get a chance to play more and develop. aka he doesnt want to win many more games to get a better pick. bout time he does this.

ok, seriously, what the fuck is going on? i know that they want more playing time for the young'ns, and perhaps "tanking" the season, but why cause more turmoil? just play each game like u would anyway, try to win. fuck this tanking bullshit. heres some news. included is the link to the timmy k article theyre talking about.

http://blogs.mercurynews.com/kawaka...hen-biedrins-don-nelson-is-king-of-the-world/

(the following are three separate, but related pieces)

Jamal Crawford will be a DNP-CD for the Warriors on Friday, Stephen Jackson will sit out on Sunday against Utah and Andris Biedrins will get the night off on Friday against the Pistons.
Corey Maggette also has a missed game coming, but Don Nelson hasn't said when. Nelson will eventually retire, but until that day comes, fantasy owners will have to continue to live with this kind of lunacy. The attached column from Tim Kawakami is a must-read if you own any Warriors.

Jamal Crawford's agent, Aaron Goodwin, is not happy at the prospect of Crawford being benched for Friday's game against Charlotte.
"What is the message that Don Nelson is sending to a young team? 'Don't play to win?' " Goodwin said. "What is the message he is sending to the fans who work hard to pay for Warriors tickets in order to see them win?" Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that Crawford dropped 50 points on the Bobcats earlier this season, and everyone, especially his fantasy owners, would like to see him get the chance to do it again. Nellie could change his mind about playing JC tonight, but it would actually be surprising to see him play at this point.

Coach Don Nelson plans to bench Jamal Crawford on Friday in favor of "younger guards," according to the Contra Costa Times.
Crawford has taken the benching professionally, which appears to be the Warriors not-so-subtle way of telling him that he isn't in their long-term plans. Crawford's agent wasn't so kind, saying, "I totally disagree with this." Nelson likely chose to bench Crawford because he was less likely to put up a stink, but after his agent's comments it won't be as easy to do that.

but guys, i thought we were supposed to tank the season!!!

fuck it, we have people on this team that can ball. Nelson didnt even play the young guys in the 4th anyway, instead it came down to a rediculous Jackson turnover. "tanking" does nothing, we have players that should play, play crawford, biedrins, dont fucking bench these guys.

tank the season, its already lost. jackson is sitting out against the jazz and biednirs and maggette are sitting out games next week.

as of today:

Teams W-L
Sacramento 13 47
Oklahoma City 13 45
Washington 14 44
LA Clippers 15 44
Memphis 15 42
Minnesota 18 40
Golden State 20 38
Toronto 23 37
Charlotte 24 35
New York 24 34
Indiana 25 36
Chicago 26 33
New Jersey 26 32

right now we got the 7th pick (unless a team's lottery pick 8-14 hits and gets top 3). winning games is going to do nothing but hurt us in the long run. play the youngsters, let them learn on the job, see what guards we keep going into the offseason and who to trade. if we win 4/5 games we can go from pick 7 to 11 real quick. imagine trading a player and the number 7 pick to get someone instead of the number 11 pick. maybe that 7th pick hits the lottery. there are 2 main pg's right now coming out that are projected in the lottery thats brandon jennings and jeff teague. we need a PG unless you think watson can hold his own (thats why you play him to realize that). so im all for tanking. hell if minnesota goes on a lil win streak we might be sitting at the 6th pick.
