Game of Thrones three weeks. Fuck this show. At least for now, only things keeping me interested is this Negan dude seems pretty cool plus Trevor from GTA5 but fuck these cliffhangers.

Someone compared last season's GOT season finale to TWD:

1) Jon gets brutally murdered, dies (on-screen)
2) Theon saves Sansa
3) Dany gets abducted
4) Arya kills a target, goes blind
5) Varys & Tyrion take over Meereen
6) Cersei creates Franken-Mountain
7) Myrcella dies
8) Possible Stannis cliffhanger

The Walking dead 90-minute finale had:
1) Gabriel takes charge of Alexandria
2) Morgan saves Carol
3) A shitty cliffhanger

Cliffhangers are just ridiculously insulting and terribly lazy.

This show was starting to take such a cool turn with the "good guys" becoming the "bad guys" and Carol's whole "you can't care about anyone" attitude and then they went and totally took a huge shit on their progress with a ridiculous episode that would have us believe that a gigantic band of hundreds of heavily armed and highly organized men with so much time on their hands that they can construct gigantic log road blocks and preemptively block every conceivable passage way just to toy with another group of survivors, that army has been living undetected under everyone's noses for years? And then they add icing to the shit cake with a unnecessary cliffhanger - because if they didn't I imagine zero people would tune in next season.

Also the first person Negan would have killed is Rick. Ridiculous that he wouldn't. Let's leave the crafty/deadly/motivated leader alive and kill off a less important supporting character because it's good for the show - is exactly what Negan was thinking.

Well Negan not killing Rick would be the comic not the show right? Because as I've read, Rick was there too Negan killed someone else for a reason. But yeah, the shows cliffhanger just killed what could have been there "Red Wedding" equivalent, given the emotional outcry of watching a beloved original character get offed in brutal fashion. It's completely lost now, since viewers have 6 months or so to think about it and know for certainty someone died, not too mention leaks that will inevitably come out once they start shooting.

What would make it even worse is if they choose fucking Aaron or even Eugene lol like anyone would give a shit. But knowing the show, I bet the first, hell maybe even the first couple episodes won't even reveal who died and they'll drag it on by showing each survivor individually, like they'll show Rick and Carl, then segue to Daryl, then Michonne, then Rosita, and finally leaving two characters they haven't revealed yet and finally show whoever died lol you know that's exactly what they're going to do, milk that shit as long as possible lazy bum writers.

Good point about the comic book source material and not killing Rick, so I can't really blame that on the show.

Although the 1 way they could maybe redeem themselves now that I think of it would be if the person Negan killed on the show actually was Rick, and the POV was a Soprano's esque fade to black only this time is was a season finale and not a series finale.

Yeah if they killed Rick that would be a massive curveball that would blow up the internet. No way they have balls that big. Plus I'm sure there is a lot more of the Rick story to tell, him and Carl are the untouchables, same with Carol and at least Morgan for right now.

Im too lazy to scroll up but I can't remember if I read it here or somewhere else but the more I think about it it actually may be Eugene. He gave Rick his blueprints for making ammo from scratch and that's like his whole purpose so they can easily kill him off and not really affect the story since they presumably will know how to manufacture ammo now. It's a shame they can't just follow the comic here. Imagine if HBO did some shit like that for the Red Wedding scene. Tune in next season to find out if Rob, Caitlyn or Robs wife died! Only to find out its some minor character lol

That would've been so much better if they would've just showed someone getting bashed. It was a good season but there's just way too much of main characters getting captured and then escaping and killing every one lol
Rumor has it that they will show the beating in the first episode of season 7... Just rumor though...

Anyone watch Fear The Walking Dead?

Other than Al Haymon not a single character is remotely interesting and they all just annoy me. Good example was when they passed that boat with like 50 people on it and everyone is like aww lets pick them all up even though we have no food or resources! You idiots better thank god al haymon has some common sense. Just not feeling this show at all but I'll keep watching until Game of Thrones comes on and reminds us what a real show is all about.

I came back to this comment...

how narcissistic of the folks in that little group of 6 (if I remember correct - less than 10 for sure) thinking they can save a group of 50.

"I know my pharmaceuticals!"

Pffft how the fuck this junkie kid look at some random pills and conclude it's suicide pills? Oh right he knows his pharmaceuticals! Which pharmaceuticals, exactly, will kill you instantly with one pill? Cyanide? Like you can just buy that at the local pharmacy lol.

The other thing is, so what if they plan on killing themselves if/when the zombies take over the island? It's a legit plan, some rather die at their own hands than get viscously eaten by the living dead. Who are they to judge? Self righteous cunts just ruined an entire family then split lol

I found that if you accept this show as a comedy it's much more entertaining

Lol how can you be so critical of this shows shortcoming but be okay with all the outrageous shit that goes on in TWD?
I have been critical of TWD. But if you compare the two, TWD is FAR better and it's not even close. For starters, TWD has some good characters, some pretty good acting and some really good stories. We obviously can only compare the first 8 episodes and the first season of TWD was fucking awesome (season two dragged on with the damn barn stuff but it had its moments).

Which characters, if any, are even likeable in FTWD? Right off the bat in TWD I was interested in Rick, Shane, Glen, Daryl. Who is the standout character in FTWD, Pablo Escobar? With his very plain and generic role of a dad? I think that's the biggest problem with this show is no one stands out, I'm not drawn to any character. Maybe that will change.
