i just came in here to say d. bryant is a muthafuckin G fuck that bullshit
a G? more like a flip flopper....

Dez Bryant is showering his teammates with gifts these days.

The rookie who declined to carry Roy Williams shoulder pads earlier in camp presented his fellow receivers with Air Jordan Olympic 7s before last week's game. He also picked up the Madden NFL 11 video game for himself and Williams.

First, the shoes.

"I did that out of the kindness of my heart,'' Bryant said. "It didn't have anything to do with rookie hazing. I just want to build a great relationship with those guys.''

And what about the Madden game?

"I know Roy loves video games, so I got it,'' Bryant said. "That's all about trying to build team chemistry. I feel if you've got that, you play a lot harder.

"There were some things I did at Oklahoma State, like I bought the whole wide out crew dog tags and they had their name, their number and freak time on it. That's what our receiver coach had called us. I felt like that brought us together.

"I just want to do my little part here.''

Dez Bryant, 3 starters cleared for action

IRVING, Texas -- Four key Dallas Cowboys will return to practice Tuesday after extended absences due to injuries, coach Wade Phillips said.

Linebacker Keith Brooking, receiver Dez Bryant, strong safety Gerald Sensabaugh and defensive end Marcus Spears have all been cleared to practice, although Sensabaugh will be held out of contact drills. Right tackle Marc Colombo is expected to practice next week.

The Cowboys are optimistic that four of the five will be ready for the Sept. 12 season opener against the Washington Redskins. Sensabaugh's status for the opener is in question as he recovers from a subluxation of his left shoulder suffered in the Aug. 21 preseason game against the San Diego Chargers.

Bryant tweeted Sunday night that he'd be "back in action Thursday," an indication that he would participate in the Cowboys' preseason finale Thursday against the Miami Dolphins. But Phillips said no decision has been made on whether Bryant, who suffered a high ankle sprain July 30, would play Thursday.

"We don't know yet," Phillips said. "We have to practice this week and see. I want to see how they practice this week also.

"I still want to get feedback from the doctors and the rehab people as to where he is and what the risks are. So, I think you have to take that into consideration certainly and whether another week and a half will be, he'll be stronger or he's the same."

Brooking suffered a shoulder injury in the Aug. 21 game and is healthy enough to play this week, Phillips said.

Spears sprained the MCL in his left knee during an Aug. 6 practice. He said Friday that he'll be healthy for the opener.

Colombo underwent surgery Aug. 16 to remove five loose particles in his right knee. The original prognosis was that he would be sidelined two weeks.

Left guard Kyle Kosier is considered doubtful for the opener due to a sprained MCL suffered Aug. 18.

"He's actually doing real well," Phillips said. "It's more of a 4-6 [week recovery process], more leaning toward the 6. I think they're leaning back the other way a little bit, but I don't know. We'll see. He's going to start some of his rehab this week and we'll see where he is."

good to see dez is ready and wants to play in the finale of preseason hopefully he plays a couple series

Miles Austin agrees to 6-year extension

The Dallas Cowboys and Pro Bowl wide receiver Miles Austin have agreed to a six-year contract extension.

According to two league sources, Austin will earn $57 million over the length of the contract.

"He's going to be around here a long time," Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said during a teleconference announcing the deal.

Austin signed a $3.168 million contract in June, but Jones had repeatedly said the Cowboys wanted to sign the receiver coming off a breakout season to a long-term deal. That finally came Thursday, three days before the season opener at Washington.

"It feels great to be wanted by this team," Austin said. "It feels great."

Jones said it was important to both sides to get the deal done before the season began.

Austin last season had 81 catches for 1,320 yards, sixth-best in team history and the sixth-best by an undrafted receiver ever in the NFL.

Austin is the third high-profile receiver to receive a lucrative extension this offseason, behind Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall and Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson.

Kosier and Colombo come back, game over for NFC East. Dont count us out!!

SEASON Opener on the Road vs. Redskins. OK. We Lost.

First game of the season and our Defense looked fine, Im not worried about it. If we overcome this OLine problem and beat Houston, Indy.. then we can talk about SuperBowl
