As long as I'm black I'm gonna be supporting obama. Its more than just his politics, its the movement. Do you know what that means, to see that there actually can be a black president of the united states? Thats a powerful statement.

That being said, I'm glad I do like his politics and I would hate to see the country being run by the same 2 families (Bush/Clinton) for so long.
you have the right to vote for whoever you want, but voting based on color is the wrong idea... people are all twisted and infatuated with the fact that our candidates are diverse.. who cares what they look like, their politics are what i care about.. anyone who votes based on color/gender is going to come to a rude awakening.. ive been watching the debates and it is still a toss up for me, i need to do more research on each of them but edwards seems like he is the most concentrated on anti-war, pro-economy, pro-education, anti-lobbyist/war-profiteer..

I've been watching the debates and John Edwards would be the best...but since it's a popularity contest..Obama...

Think about it first it was Regan with Bush as the V.P for 8 years.. Then Bush becomes pres for 8 years...then Bill Clinton for 8 then Bush Jr. for 8...and now what Hillary for 8?? That's 32 years of the same families... Just tired of the same families in power...time for a change....give someone new a go @ it...can't be any worse then what we've had for the last 8 years...
I never thought about that ...32 years of the same families. Damn!

Obama for President!

You're right. Edwards would be great, but people do vote on how people look/affiliations. So Edwards doesn't stand a chance.

Also- I hate to say it, but if Obama wins... You all know he'll just get shot.

I would vote for Obama, there is just something about him that says "leader". Hillary gets no love from me, she just looks like a stuck up cunt in my eyes, reminds me of my step mom. I have been on the Obama bandwagon ever since his speech at the Democratic Convention in 04', its time for a change of pace in Washington and I seriously believe Obama could pull it off.

maybe ill vote for obama, since he's black
there are way too many black people that are voting/have voted for obama just because he's black. they don't care what he plans to do or where he stands on any issues, but he's black so they're gonna vote for him. smh...

but anyway...my preference to get the democratic nomination would be clinton, edwards, obama in that order. edwards is most likely a third place finisher in every state from here on out, but i still like him over obama (no homo)

I could never imagine talking to anybody I've know who is dead now me telling them that a black man ran for president and I didn't vote for him. I have a responsibility to those who came before me and those who come after me to vote for the black man. And he, as a black man, has a responsibility to his people, just as him would being from Illinois would benefit that state, so would him being black and a minority and the son of an immigrant.

It's not about color necessarily, its about who he is and what that would mean for people who are told they cant be someone because of who they are or where they start. Its important that he win for the people who identify with him. No its not about color its about who you are representing, how I can a president who doesn't represent me to look out for my best interests? I can't. That is why those who fucked with bush before he was president, benefit when he became president. Those who fucked with the Clintons the 1st time around, will benefit the 2nd time around. And I sure as fuck didn't here them talking about evening out crack/powder sentencing. Fuck a Clinton, cause they fake and could give a fuck about a nigga or any other minority.

i have nothing against having a black president...in fact, with me being black, it's something i've always wanted to see. but i'm not going to go against what i think will benefit me and my country the most just so we can have a black president.

everyone has their reasons why or why not to vote for a certain candidate...i accept that. that's just where i stand.

homie you need to do some research on the clintons then.
Hillary makes money off of war like the rest of them she is no different. She will continue war if she is elected. Do you it's all good, but you must do research on someone before you back them. And to be honest 0% are worth backing.

"Hillary Clinton voted in favor of the Kyl-Lieberman amendment to press the army toward war with Iran."

she is no different
Obama also supports the war.... Obama and Clinton are both semi-retarded

I wouldn't write hillary off for being a woman, I'd write her off for being in the elite club that makes money off of war, and feeds broken promises to gullible people. bush and clinton family shouldn't be allowed office anymore

YOUR NOT AN IDIOT... IF EVERYONE THOUGHT LIKE THIS THEN EVERYONE WOULD VOTE BASED ON ISSUES AND THE DEMOCRATIC ELECTION WOULDNT BE "HOW MANY WOMEN CAN HILARY GET VS. HOW MANY BLACKS CAN OBAMA GET" BECAUSE HONESTLY THATS WHERE THIS ELECTION IS RIGHT NOW AND ITS SAD
