To be honest, just about every team in the NFC playoffs that year could have beaten the raiders in the Bowl. The Niners beat them during that season. That was the last time they played each other in the regular season until the spanking they gave you guys this year. They were the best the AFC had to offer, but there were 5 or 6 NFC teams that were better than the raiders. And that still doesn't change the fact that you're not on top unless you WIN the championship, which the raiders have not done for well over 2 decades. That was the point I was making.
As for the ticket prices.. It doesn't matter. Raise the Niners' prices and the stadium will still sell out. And plus, it wasn't just this year that Oakland hasn't sold out a gang of games. It's been going on for YEARS. They made a change in the way the raiders tickets are sold (I can't remember what it was called) and raider fans claimed that would help them sellout. Didn't work.

^^^ NINERS SELL OUT EVERY GAME CUZ OF ALL THE YUPPS THAT GO FOR REAL. THE TICKET CHANGES DID HELP TILL EVERYONE REALISED HOW HORRIBLE THE RAIDERS WERE THIS YEAR. If I recall correctly, the Eagles put up a better effort than the raiders against the Buccs in that NFC Championship game. So how the hell do you figure your squad could have beaten them?
The raiders weren't the best team that year, and they weren't even the 2nd best team that year despite the arguement that they went to the Bowl. The NFC owned the league that year and there were numerous NFC contenders who could have easily disposed of the raiders. The Niners are one of them, and they proved that during the season.

I disagree completely on saying any team in the NFC playoffs coulda beat the Raiders that year...... If the AFC teams couldn't even handle em no way the NFC teams that year woulda been able to touch em' except for the bucs with that #1 D............ Raiders had the best Offense in the NFL that year hands down they where moving the ball downfield etc.. It took a great D to stop em and too bad it had to happen in the big game

It doesn't have to be a blow out, genius. Even a one point victory means you LOSE. The raiders weren't that great of a team. I know you raider fans would like to believe otherwise, but anyone who is not a raider fan knows what's up.

Right. An undefeated team in the SuperBowl would have lost to a choke-artist team in the SB, even though they had beaten them once already that season. That's a great arguement. :dead:

So the AFC West being the best division is not an excuse. You can't beat teams from any of the NFL divisions.
