Words have been flying back and forth the entire series. Wednesday, Nuggets rookie center Francisco Elson took on Minnesota forward Kevin Garnett, saying Garnett hit him in the groin late in the first quarter of Game 4 on Tuesday.
Elson said the Nuggets would "retaliate" in Game 5 in Minneapolis on Friday (7:30 p.m. MDT, Fox Sports Net, ESPN), when they might be without star forward Carmelo Anthony, who has a sprained left knee.
"It's a cheap shot by a low-class player, a low-class-type player," Elson said of Garnett, likely to be the NBA's Most Valuable Player. "You don't do that. That's gay on his part. I told him that he was gay for touching me in the private parts. What kind of (bleep) is that?"
