Never watched the Wire, so I cant compare or whatever but u need to watch Oz & 24!! Those 2 shows are Bomb!! Im currently on 24 season 4 and this shit is crazy and OZ was off the chain which I finished already!! Got Em!!

Only shows i watch damn near are on HBO and Showtime. Sopranos, the wire, true blood, and brotherhood besides the reality bullshit on mtv and VH1 but theres only a few i watch now. I like the shield but couldnt keep up with it, watch every now and again

I also used to be a fan of the show Homicide: Life on the Street

It isn’t has hard core as the wire because it was on network TV, but it was my favorite cop drama show. It also happens to be the show about the Baltimore PD that the creators of the Wire made first.

A lot of the actors from Homicide show up and do cameos or have roles in the wire.

You can find it all on DVD and probably on torrents too.
