youre on the web arent you? you believe you are reliable with reliable information arent you?
THEN STFU

EDIT: you really need to get the fuck off that microscope and take a philosophy class or two.

the internets capability to spread information is the basic reason for us being in the INFROMATION AGE, another significant twist happening to earth at the same time as all the other things i mentioned.
its very sad that you believe the internet and all that it can do is useless, and yes, useless is what your post signifies.
1. All I wanted to say is that reading Nature or Cell online is typically not included when people use the term "web surfing"

2. I never said the internet is useless, neither I think so, quite the opposite

3. I don't work with microscopes

4. I am taking a philosophy class right now (and of course it sucks, but I am required to take it)

I responded to another thread about this a while back with a decent sized post on the truth of the Mayan end-date.

Thread is Here.. but ill just quote it here for easier reading:

Don't google the Mayan long calendar end-date on Google, you'll just get a bunch of matches to places with conflicting information and amateur "studies". I know quite a bit about the 2012 End date and have read 2 books devoted to it. John Jenkins (the #1 authority on the subject and author of the best book on it, Maya Cosmogenesis) as well as other leading scientists in the field have all reported that there is no proof or sign that any natural physical changes will occur on the planet Earth itself. They aren't saying there "wont" be either, but it seems like you're missing the whole point of the end date. The end date is a shift in human consciousness as a whole, as we move into the 5th age of the human race's timescale. The 4th age is ending in 2012, and has been deemed the 'technological' age, which makes sense.

The change will be a psychological and social shift on a grand-scale. The "ends" of all of the previous Maya calendar long counts (which equals about 5125 years) have been fairly strongly theorized to have all ended in similar ways and global transitions throughout humanity have occurred more strongly during this phase.

It's not like on December 21'st of 2012 there is going to be a massive earthquake, solar flares, tsunamis, and everything else going crazy. That makes absolutely no scientific sense and the Maya would never, ever claim something to be along those lines, whether or not they are 'scientific' themselves. Whatever is going to happen is going to happen in a transitioning "shift", a sped up process that could be compared to evolution in mechanism, and it's going to happen on a global scale.

That's all. There's nothing to worry about here.
We should worry more about the San Andreas faultline *still* building up to undergo a violent reaction, than we should about the Mayan end date.
Edit: But to add one thing: even though there won't be any physical changes happening on our actual planet surface itself, it IS true that our position.. our galactic alignment within the Milky Way galaxy will be shifting through the equator that splits the vertical axis in half. This doesn't necessarily mean anything.. but it "could".. we can't really say for sure one way or the other until it happens.

Some scientists also talk about a solar-maximum, which is a time where the peak amount of solar flares happen on the sun's surface. I don't think this is very well backed up though, and is probably meaningless even though lots of solar flares could be damaging.

^^ why does your philosophy class suck (of course)?
Do you know a philosophy class that doesn't?

Philosophy is absolutely useless and pointless, therefore philosophy classes suck

You do not gain any new knowledge from philosophy classes where you have to listen to people discussing the views of somebody who lived 200 years ago and who knew tiny fractions of what we know today so whatever he thought is mostly irrelevant from a modern perspective....

Nostradamus didn't predict shit. He wrote horoscopes for a living for most of his life (it was a form of entertainment back then too). All of his "prophecies" were so freakin vague that you make any one of them related to any number of certain events and you can only do that with past events (nothing is clear enough where you can say "Nostradamus wrote this which means on 2018 this will specifically happen at this location"). In addition, most of his work was simply summarized or shorter versions of previous end time prophecies. Nostradamus was not a prophet.

First time I've ever said amen to anything that wasn't Christ related! Praise the Lord though!

Isn't this the truth?
hell no. You better enjoy every second of your philosophy lessons because they are teaching you the truth. No biblical propaganda.

Hemp is speaking the truth. You are very wise Hemp! You obviously know your "stuff".
i.e.:

scientists have reported about our consciousness's "buzzing" sound.
catch up on your web surfing.
That documentary/book called "The Secret - law of attraction" comes to mind when you mention this. Every thought transmits a vibration that will result to what one wants if one puts their mind to it.

Hemp said:
now we all are also at individual frequencies and those who dont change their ways into their godly selves then their frequency will remain too heavy and wont make it where earth is going.
as you get rid of your animalistic/primitive self and behavior, another Godly self will arise and raise your frequency so that you can travel with earth.

this is the basic info that i know, anymore and you will claim new age bs.
can you ellaborate on the new age bs comment? i guess you mean dont get caught up with everything one sees, has been taught ect.. ?

Hemp said:
... earths heartbeat speeding up...
I assume the metaphor of a heartbeat is something to do with global warming or something?

Hemp said:
EDIT: proof of frequency look into the chakra system, and then look into how plants and other bodies emit the same thing as a chakra.
currently we have a 7 chakras, but those who transition with the earth into christ consciousness, the 7 will split into 11 (or 12 i forget), each charkah accounting for a dimension
Can you explain a bit more about chakra? i did a google search and read what wikipedia has to documented but i am interested to read what else you have to say about chakra because this is new to me; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chakra.

btw i agree with you when you say how the internet has sped up our learning abilities.. Of course it has we can communicate from different countries within seconds and upload books ect.. The internet is the greatest source for reliable information depending what one discovers and how one uses it.

every time somebody has predicted the world will end in year X, he was wrong

what makes you think this is any different?

and Mayas weren't "really professionals bout stars and time", they knew a lot for the tools they had, but all of their knowledge is a tiny amount of ours
so why is their claender more accurate then ours, with primitive tools they had? we only know so much about them, alot of history was destroyed over the years..

Nostrodamus was an idiot. He was just a drink man who rambled about shit that he said was supposed to happen. Most of the shit he predicted a child could do. Its not hard to predict space travel when you look at people dragging carts.
